Watching G5 and it's actually not as bad as people complained to be. I enjoy the friendship lessons as they are more relevant with technology being used in modern time equestria. I love how Sunny isn't always pressing alt (ALICORN MODE) which is a great flaw. She has to go through being an alicorn but at least she has her friend like Twilight. I see some sides of Twilight in her, especially Alicorn Twilight when she was becoming a princess and people started treating her differently and only liking the fact she was a princess in the family cruise episode and the friendship journal release episode.
I think my only cons is some MOMENTS are corny at times and the 3d animation style DID drop compare to the movie, maybe the budget went into the movie(?). Make your mark does have all the good writing in it with a narratives and a villain while Tell your Tale is more fun and friendship episodes. Tell your tale isn't too bad but the short episodes do get repetitive which you have to watch to understand what is even going. I do like how we do see the G4 mane 6 in the newer mane 6 just in a more different way
With Sunny, in the beginning she believed in friendship and unity in the beginning due to her father inspiring while Twilight lived in canterlot invested in her studies with Celestia sending her there then realising the magic of friendship.Twilight had to learn friendship herself while Sunny had to rebuild it again. I'm still in Chapter 2 of Make your Mark and following a watch guide right now so my thoughts could change. Overall it's pretty good. I don't like the songs a lot they downgraded since the movie.
