She grew up around fishermen, in fact her father was one of the fishermen she grew up around. Working at the family business was something that she had to do. It was in her blood. However she didn’t want to do that. Maialynn has an older brother and an older sister who are off in Europe exploring the world. Maialynn has always been the short one amongst her group of friends. She has been called: shrimp, small fry, oompa, and elf all of her life, you can say she’s used to it.
Maialynn currently works in Seattle. She ventured west after graduating from high school and didn’t look back. Maialynn got her degree in Engineering at the University of Washington. Right out of college she didn’t go straight into Grad School, in fact she hit a rock and sunk. She got comfortable with doing absolutely nothing and working a few jobs to pay her rent and live. Of course she finally put her degree to good use, Maialynn lives life day by day and enjoys it to the fullest as cliche as that sounds. She now works with one of the greatest software companies out there.
Maialynn feels that she made a mistake and only achieved a degree that would make her parents proud. Which is why she hasn’t gotten a job in the field. It wasn’t like she wasnt anything, she had many job offers but she turned them down. The idea of settling terrifies her and she wants to know what’s out their first before she commits to anything. Maialynn has that problem where she needs to view her other options before she settles. She’s like that with her relationships as well
