The youngest of the Carey clan, but also the brattiest. Carmen was born and raised in the Northern suburbs of Chicago with her family. Her family wasn’t exactly the wealthiest, but they weren’t struggling either, especially since her parents somewhat worked for the city, her father being a fireman and her mother being an English professor at the University of Chicago. Growing up, Carmen wore most of her sister’s hand-me-downs but she she never let anyone know that her clothes previously belonged to Franchesca and Elaine because she didn’t think they had poor taste in their fashion choices.
Carmen always made sure that her voice was heard, because of her height, she needed to make herself known. She needed to prove that her height wasn’t something she was ashamed of. To be honest, Carmen loved being short because it meant she got to use taller people to her advantage.
Carmen grew up enjoying school not only for her friends but because she was rather smart. Not many people knew how intelligent Carmen was in school because well no one could really get through her genuine personality. She managed to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA and her position as cheer captain. The reason for such intelligence is her mother, Delilah. Carmen spent every free night home studying.
Even though Carmen grew up a brat, her parents always made sure to keep her in line because if they didn’t she would’ve been a party girl and in some sort of loveless marriage because she would’ve gotten pregnant straight out of high school. Carmen went to the University of Chicago Medicine where she studied in the nursing program after completing a bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Chicago.
Now, Carmen is a nurse at a pediatric doctor’s office. It must’ve been because of her height that children flocked to her. She figured why not; she didn’t exactly hate children, she tolerated them. Even though Carmen would never admit it but she did in fact enjoy doing all she could to help people, even if they’re little humans; she felt at peace with herself. During her entire childhood and adolescence, her parents taught her and her siblings that it’s important to help others if they needed the help. Carmen loves that her siblings are following their parents motto.
