“Can you try to be civil? Please, for me.” Y/n begged her brother following him around the counter in the kitchen

“I’m not making any promises” Scott said walking to the fridge getting a drink

“Scott come on! What’s your problem with him?!” Y/n asked in a slightly concerned tone leaning against the opposite side of the bar.

“My problem is him! He’s one a vampire and not just a vampire an original!” he exclaimed with anger right back at her.

“Ok. Scott, he drinks from blood bags so him being a vampire shouldn’t bother you. And him being an Original should have nothing to do with it.” Y/n explained to her brother hoping to get her point across. She knows her boyfriend doesn’t always use blood bags, hell she’s let him drink from her before but Y/n knows that won’t help her argument. All she wants is to have him be on board with her relationship like she’s been for him, every time. Why can’t he be happy for her?

“What's going on here?” Melissa asked looking between her two children as she entered the kitchen.

“Mom he’s not being fair.” Y/n pointed to her brother across the bar. Glad that her mom entered maybe she can talk some sense into him.

“Scott?” their mother asked turning to look at her son as she moved more into the room.

“She’s bringing Kol to meet the pack.” Scott reluctantly told their mom. There was a faint ‘ugh’ from Y/n before she left to go upstairs.

“And why do you have a problem with that?” she asked her son knowing where this was going, so she took a seat at one of their bar stools.

“Look Scott I know your just being a typical brother. But give her a break, ok? And him. I’ve meet Kol and he really does care about her I would even say he loves her. And she obviously loves him, and if you push this you’re gonna lose her. You two are close and tell each other pretty much everything. If you push the protective thing to far you’ll lose that and her. I know you don’t like him but really you don’t like the idea of him cause it means she’s growing up. But give him a chance, get to know the real him not who he acts like or appears to be.” Melissa told her son hopping she got through to him. NOt wanting to see her children on opposite sides.

“I’ll try but I’m not promising anything.” Scott sighed nodding to his mom

“Try hard. Love you” she stressed before making him dip his head down to kiss his forehead.

“Mom I’m leaving to go meet Kol before the nightmare meet’ n greet later.” Y/n looked at her brother when she said the last part.

“Ok, drive safe.” she told her daughter after coming over to kiss her daughters head to. Then she left to go to work leaving Scott home alone till later for the pack meeting to think about what she said.

“Can you please be on your best behavior?” Please. I’m serious my brother already doesn’t like you and you’ll be in a room full of werewolves.” Y/n begged her boyfriend who had his usual smile on his face. Not giving Y/n a reassuring feeling.

“I’ll be on my best behavior but if I slip no getting mad, got it?” he joked at the end. But when he saw her face he squeezed her hand to help put her at ease.

“Yeah, just try please.” she said squeezing his hand back.

“Hey, guys. This is Kol. Kol this is Scott my brother, Lydia my best friend, Stiles, Derek, Maila, Isaac, and Kira.”: Y/n introduced her boyfriend to her friends and her friends to her boyfriend.

Everything was going ok for a while. Maila agreed with Kol on somethings and Isaac an him had a lot in common. Lydia had met Kol before and they got along fine. Kira was to shy to really converse. Derek was cautious and Stiles every time he tried Scott would nudge him. Scott, of course, didn’t try at all. Which made Y/n upset but she was trying her hardest not to show it. Truth is it hurt more than she would let herself believe.

A couple hours in later they were all comfortable watching a movie. Y/n could feel her brother's eyes watching her and Kol. It bugged her that he didn’t trust her boyfriend or her.

“Ok, that's it I can’t hold back anymore you need to get away from my sister” Scott stood up pointing to them on the floor all cozy.

“Scott-” Y/n started but her brother cut her off before she could say anything other than his name.

“No! He needs to stop!” Scott yelled at his sister putting everyone on edge.

“Stop what Scott?” Lydia asked him calmly not wanting it to get out of control but wanting to know what would make the true alpha snap like that.

“He’s not doing anything wrong” Stiles defended much to everyone's shock

“No guys it’s fine. I have a lot of siblings I know what this is. It's a domanice and protective thing. But Scott I promise I’m not going to hurt your sister. I really do love her,” Kol said standing up still holding Y/n around the waist protectively.

“Scott. . .Please stop this. I’ve always supported your relationships why can’t you support mine? I love you Scotty but if you don’t stop this - I-I can’t take much more Scott. I can’t” Y/n stuttered with glossy eyes

“Let's go” Kol whispered down in her ear noticing how she is getting worked up.

“Bye guys and thanks for everything” she said before they left.

Once they left everyone got silent. Not really knowing what to say or what just happened let alone what provoked it. Everyone was kinda just staring at him for an explanation.

“What?” Scott questioned looking back at his friends

“Scott your not being reasonable.” Derek stated and everyone nodded in agreement. Making  Scott rethink how he should approach his sister dating.

Bad Company

“May I help you?” I asked as I had a perplexed expression across my face. 

“Uhm, y-yeah. You said you could take me somewhere less dangerous.” The girl stuttered as she stumbled to her feet. 

I snapped my head up to make eye contact, “You’re the wolf from the forest?” I asked as I took a step closer. 

“Yes Ma’am.” She mumbled as she cowered and lowered her head. 

“Here sit down. No need to be so afraid of me.” I reasoned as I eased her onto the couch. 

“B-but the growl from the woods. You showed dominance.” 

“I was only growling like that to show that I mean no harm. I am still trying to getting used to this life.” I explained. 

“This life?” She asked as she looked at me and cocked her head.

“As you probably could tell, I’m a werewolf. That’s how I could growl so easily and how I wasn’t afraid of you. I tried to learn about my, well our kind, from the books my grandmother gave me.” I said as I nodded to my bookshelf. 

The girl looked at my shelf for a minute. I assume she’s just looking at what I have. 

“By the way, I’m Malia.” She said turning her head to me.

“I’m Ruby. You could call me Red.” I replied.

“Red, do you mind if I go through your books?” 

“You should get some rest and something to eat before we dive into something like that. Let me look at your arm.” I suggested as I turned my body towards her. 

I stood up to go get some peroxide to clean it and a small hand towel.  I gently grabbed her arm as I poured some peroxide on the wound. I looked up at Malia as she wenced in pain. 

“I know we could heal really easily, but this makes sure it doesn’t get infected during that process.” I explained. 

Malia nodded as I stood up from the floor. When I did, there was a knock on the door. I quickly looked out the front windows and noticed Sheriff Stilinski’s police cruiser sitting there. I walked to the door and opened the door to Sheriif standing there and a young man standing there. 

“Hey Red, I hope you don’t mind me having someone with me.” He said he looked irritated. “He figured since he has a police scanner, that he could always tag along.” 

“No, sir. Not at all.” I replied as I welcomed them in. 

As I shut the door, Malia stood up. 

“Malia?” The young boy asked

“Stiles?” Malia asked.
