Basically that one scene where you have to save Simon when he runs out of cover and Markus has a choice of saving him, but when he does, he isn't fast enough and they both end up being shot, so during their last few moments they reach out to each other and hold hands, connecting one last time and the last thing they see or feel are each other's memories and "warmth".
