Writing Elizabeth keen as a self centered delusional women with bipolar disorder who is submissive as well will not bring up ratings for the blacklist in fact the way she was written from 3B is part of the reason the ratings went down no one wants to see a pathetic delusional women as the lead in a major tv show. Even most of season two liz was written well with acception to her being clingy to an ex husband who never really loved her because of being pissed off at red. She kind of made up for that debacle when she chose red in the end after remembering the truth which I still believe is the truth. But from season 3b and all through 4 she was written terribly and I could not defend her are cheer for a character that is pathetic weak and delusional plus bipolar she went from one extreme to the other. She was originally written as a smart profiler and being around red advanced her career being around him made her stronger smarter better she had her imperfections yes but she overcame them in season one and two plus 3A. But from 3B to well all of 4 she was written as weak submissive taken a husband that used her back much of this was imho due to her trying to remarry tom and live out the fantasy instead of real life. Not to mention kaplins sudden change from loyalty to red to siding with tom and imo manipulating liz with him as well and again liz was written as gullible willing to believe anyone but the one person that truly loves her red. Also cooper being written terribly as well because suddenly being upset that liz still didn't know what her link with red was suddenly caring about that is bullshit not to mention before that cooper being on toms side a man that was the fucking cause of his near death in season one. Cooper is gullible and stupid. Yes to me tom keen and the way the main character Elizabeth keen was written from season 3B to all of 4 was written is what brought ratings for the blacklist down. Even though there were a few good moments in season 3B and some of 4 but they were few and not enough. Plus the terrible season 4 ending and reveal as well. Get back to the original formula red and liz as fighting together and figuring out what really happened to his family and what really was behind her mother and real father and maybe the ratings will go up and there is a season 6 like James originally sighed on for. Ok rant over lol
