The Weight of Yesterday [DEMO TBA] [CW LIST]
TWOY is an upcoming IF intended for 18+ players and older.
[...] and so, let the weight of yesterday be a reminder to cherish every moment and to hold onto the beauty of today, for tomorrow is but a fleeting dream that may never come to pass. And so, attempt to hold onto the beauty of the memories you've lost, cherish them like precious gems in the recesses of your heart.
You are confined to a cell, and you've been there for centuries. The walls of this prison are the only constant you know, a steady reminder of everything you don't. What you do know is that you were -are-considered a monster, a terror of unimaginable power, and the world trembled in fear at your very name: Belva. But why? What heinous deeds did you commit to warrant such a punishment? And why can't you remember them?
No one will tell you, and most of your memories are lost to the mists of time. But amidst the complexity and confusion of your past, glimpses of fond memories flicker in your mind, filling you with hope and yearning for what might have been. Some nights you're haunted, or blessed, by vague recollections that you can't trust, wondering if they're memories or nothing more than fever dreams.
The past is a shadow that never fades, a constant companion on the journey of life. It clings to you like a heavy cloak, reminding you of the choices you've made and the things you've lost.
As you strive to shape your future, the burden of your past will always be present, weighing you down like an anchor, even as you try to chart a new course for your future. Can you find the strength to confront the ghosts of yesterday and set yourself free?

Synopsis
In TWOY, you take on the role of Belva, a powerful demon god who has been trapped for centuries, with no memory of why. As you'll get released from prison and confined in exile to the celestial city of Divumia, you'll meet a wide cast of characters -including potential love interests and acquaintances from your past- and make decisions that will determine your future and your journey within the city. Will you be driven by the desire for redemption, the longing to return to what once was, or even the thirst for truth and the memories that come with it? Regardless, it won't be easy, not when the Celestial Council is determined to hinder you. Do you think you can overcome the odds and reach your goals? Find out in The Weight of Yesterday !!!
Belva, you: As Belva, you are a mystery even to yourself. Your past is shrouded in secrecy, locked away in a part of your mind that refuses to yield its secrets. You have glimpses of memories that flicker in and out of your consciousness like fireflies in the night, but they are disjointed, incomplete.
[RO] The Loyal Hand, Nita (M/F): Nita has been with you since you were little. You’ve seen each other in your worst and most embarrassing moments, but you’re still only acquaintances.
[RO] The Stranger From Your Past, Dorian/Delilah (M/F): Some of your memories/dreams include them. You know you have some kind of past together, but you’ve no idea who this person really is.
[RO] The Human, Kiello/Keta (M/F): A human who lives in the city of Divumia and surprisingly controls a big part of the city. You may need their help, but can you really trust them? Could your past actions, or your current attitude towards humanity hinder your relationship, or will one of you manage to change the other?
[RO] The Watcher, Samu/Selena (M/F): You’ve heard whispers from fellow prisoners about watchers. You don't know this yet, but you'll have your own after your release from prison and consequent exile in Divumia. Will you be able to get behind their stoic barrier and discover the warm and caring person within? Or will their enigmatic nature keep you at bay, forever wondering what lies beneath their watchful gaze? [intro post here]
[RO] ?
The Bessa (M): Your father, and the current Lord of your home domain. He was the one who sent you on Earth in the first place, why? Did he ask you to commit those awful acts? Or is that just what you hope?
[More info and char descriptions to be added, everything here could change]

Synopsis: In the bustling, people-filled city of Tokyo, Kasai Ryoji leads a quiet, solitary life, keeping his emotions hidden behind a stone-cold exterior. However, his world is turned on its axis when he is paired with a new roommate—Sato Kaiyo, a beam of positivity and cheerfulness, always brimming with enthusiasm and optimism. Slowly but surely, the walls around Ryoji's heart begin to crumble, allowing Kaiyo to enter his world and show him life from a completely different perspective: life through the eyes of someone who refuses to let darkness cloud their view.
Notes: This is my main wip, and it’s pretty different from what I usually write—I try to stray away from slice-of-life romance stories, but when I first came up with this idea, I was really passionate about it and decided to go through with the story on an impulse. So if it’s not good, or seems rushed at times, well damn 😐 I don’t know what to say besides that. But if you’re interested in going on this ride with me, then I hope you like it!!

Writeblr ask-a-thon! (I got inspired by Athena)
What's the best piece of dialogue you've ever written in your own personal opinion? Share the snippet? And I'd love to hear the context if you're willing to share that too!
Great question!
I don't really know what the best piece of dialogue I've ever written is, but there's quite a few good back-and-forths (imo) that I can think of.
A lot of them are between the main character from Zenith, Cuán Dunleavy, and a side character - Susie Shiori. The two of them get on like a house on fire, and have a very turbulent friendship that's pretty much composed of just bluntly calling the other out on their bullshit. It's a super fun dynamic to write!
Here's an excerpt of an 'argument' between the two of them (kind of), taking place mid-way through Act 1 (under the cut <3):
11, 17, + 29!
hello hello lex!! thanks so much!!
11: What work took you the longest to write? love is like ghosts, for sure!! i had that thing as a wip from the start of october, and picked at off and on for the whole month (and moved across the country but we don't need to talk about that), then basically spent a week or 2 before thanksgiving putting every spare minute i had into writing it
17: Your favorite character to write this year? answered here, but for bonus little sneak peek from my main wip, writing drunk robin is super fun and everyone should try it sometime
Steve turns his head to look at her and gets a mouthful of hair for his trouble. He nudges her head with his shoulder. “Robs? Robin? Did you OD back there?” “Not yet, captain,” she mumbles, building to a shout, “ready to… set sail!”
29: Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? answered here, but i'm going to pick another from love is like ghosts again because i was laughing as i wrote this:
Eddie, though, can never stay quiet for long. “Hey ghosts! Why don’t you come out and torment my little friend over here?“ “I’m an inch taller than you, asshole,” Steve interrupts. “Keep telling yourself that babe, it’s all hair,” Eddie snarks back [...] “C’mon, who wouldn’t want to wreck these choir boy good looks?” Eddie says, looking Steve up and down. He seems to get lost in his own thoughts for a moment, just staring at Steve. Until Steve clears his throat with a loud cough, and Eddie jerks his head back up, his eyes slightly dazed. “Hmm?”

It’s been a minute but I’m really excited about the progress I’ve made with some of the projects I’ve been working on and wanted to share a little snippet with you all. 🥰🥰🥰
So here’s a little bit from Chapter 11 of Legacy:
----- She fidgeted with her fingers in her lap like a nervous school girl with a crush, sneaking glances at him every so often. Kagome opened her mouth, wanting to continue the conversation but also finding a strange comfort in his silence. He wasn’t yelling at her or making some snide comment. Inuyasha just sat there, staring ahead in an unfocused manner.
“You think Bankotsu’s eyes will get stuck in that position?” Shippo asked sarcastically, rolling his emerald ones, having caught the player trying to intimidate Kagome with his intense and persistent stare.
Kagome jumped, cheeks darkening almost instantly. She’d forgotten Shippo was there with them. She laughed nervously, hoping that the perceptive kitsune hadn’t noticed how she’d been focusing solely on Inuyasha for a good minute or more. “M-maybe,” she offered in weak response, shrinking in her seat and cursing the heat she felt on her face.

See you soon loves!
