These Teriyaki Chicken Wings are savory, sweet, and packed with flavor. Marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce and grilled to perfection, they make a delicious appetizer or main dish.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup soy sauce. 1/2 cup mirin. 1/4 cup sake. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger. 2 pounds chicken wings, split and tips discarded. 2 green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish. 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish.
Instructions: Put soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until it gets a little thicker. Take it off the heat and let it cool down. Fill a big plastic bag that can be closed again with chicken wings. Put the wings in a bag with cooled teriyaki sauce. Seal the bag and put it in the fridge for at least an hour, or overnight for the best flavor. Warm the grill up to a medium-high level. Take the wings out of the marinade and throw away the extra marinade. About 8 to 10 minutes on each side, grill the wings until they are fully cooked and have a nice char. Move the grilled wings to a platter to serve. Add green onions and sesame seeds that have been sliced on top. Enjoy while hot!
