Tank Access Work Stand

This aluminum platform has been custom designed to provide tank truck access for maintenance.  Two separate 7.5’ x 3’ platforms bolt together to make one 15’ x 3’ work stand.  Three aluminum fixed ladders provide workers access to the platform.  The designer used composite decking keeping the maintenance stand as light weight as possible.  Safety features include removable handrails with a mid-rail and safety chains on all fixed ladder entrances. 

This platform ladder was custom designed to meet the customer’s maintenance needs.  If you don’t see the heights or lengths that you need, give us your specifications and we will quote your platform.  Our designers provide extensive consultation and approval drawings to assure that the ladder you receive meets your requirements to the best of our abilities.

Custom Shaped Ladder Platform

Factory Supply provides custom ladders and platforms for maintenance and production needs.  This aluminum ladder was constructed with a custom shape top platform.   The unique triangle shaped platform allows the ladder to fit into narrow areas for maintenance while still providing adequate space for workers or technicians.  This work platform includes 4’ toe boards, 42” handrails with mid rails, and composite tread.  All of these features were included in the design to increase the safety and protections for employees using the maintenance platform.   The aluminum build and lightweight decking allow the ladder to roll easily on the spring loaded casters.

Modular Wing Access Work Stands

Aircraft Maintenance Platform’s, a division of Factory Supply, just completed installation of our newest wing stands.  After careful consultation with our customer, the design team found the best solution for their access needs.  Some of the features of this maintenance platform include:

>>Composite Decking

The composite decking is a lightweight slip resistant material that allowed this large platform to be moved by only four technicians.

>>Modular Removable Handrails

Handrails are included for safety but can be removed to provide access to different parts of the aircraft. 

>>Heavy Duty Casters

This platform is set on 10” heavy duty casters approved for aircraft hanger application making it easy to move to and from the aircraft.

>>Angled Platform

Our designers angled the maintenance stand to mirror the aircraft wing.  This allows full access, improving worker ergonomics.  The angled platform also reduces safety hazard by allowing employees to get close to the aircraft wing without having to reach far from the platform.  

>>High Load Capacity

                Although this work stand is incredibly mobile, it still holds a 75 PSF load capacity rating.

We were able to test and see each of these features before production through Solidworks®, a 3D modeling and load testing software that our design team uses.  This allowed our customer to be able to understand the functionality of the Wing Maintenance Stands before we start manufacturing.
