Also, I’m currently reposting more of my older artworks from twitter to here (not including comics) so I just wanna make it clear that i’m not magically drawing all of these in one singular day LOL. But, if the people want the comics to be posted here as well I’ll think about it. For now, it’ll just be fanart !! Do enjoy >< (P.S. when I talk about Sou Hiyori, I mean Midori (most of the time). I will almost always refer to Shin by his birth name. Clarifying this beforehand for future tags and posts!!)
The concept for this is about the people in yttd who’d used a knife at one point, canon or not. Being the Reko fan I was (as well as tapping into MaiReko for some odd reason), I came up with that idea. As for the users themselves:
Reko: Final Attraction (Room of Lies, the knife itself is from the kitchen)
Mai: 3-1b I believe? It’s been a while. (Cemetery, but the knife in specific came from the boxing ring of the same chapter)
Shin: Against Rio Ranger (unused scene, found in the files)
Kanna: During an attraction (Quick draw from what I remember, you can find the unused file in the attractions page of the wiki, but not Kanna’s personal page for some reason)
Sara: Chapter 2 (Start of 2-2, in one of Shin’s weird ass dreams/hallucinations)
Kai: Right after Joe’s death/before his execution (Main game grounds, with the same knife Reko used to stab herself, but I guess he was the og LMAO).
YTTD Ships First Kiss Headcanon's In A No Death Game AU
Keialice - Their kiss happens by accident. As always, they're standing just a little too close together, but this time their heads turn to look at each at just the right moment, and their lips end up brushing together. Alice is so flustered that his face turns the same shade as a fire engine, and Keiji keeps calm and collected on the surface, but he can feel a slight heat rising to his cheeks.
Keishin - Their first kiss happens while Shin is on a rant. As usual, he's worked up about something, but Keiji's grounding words don't soothe him this time. Keiji half-jokingly asks to kiss him to try and calm him down and divert his attention. It catches Shin off guard, but what surprises Keiji is the expectant look in his eyes and how he finds himself leaning closer until their lips meet.
Keishima - If a student asks Mishima how it happens, he claims it was a romantic moment under the moonlight. If you ask Keiji how it happened, he'll say that they were shotgunning a cigarette, and it quickly escalated.
Q-Keiji - Q-Taro and Keiji kiss after the baseball makes a home run during the game. He gets so excited about what he was able to do his first instinct is to tackle his boyfriend watching from the sidelines. They get so caught up in the flurry of the moment a kiss happens before either of them can even register it.
More Ships Undercut
Q-Kai - They kiss after Kai makes Q-Taro breakfast in bed. It's a sweet gesture, and it makes Q-Taro far more flustered then he thought he could get. He wants to show his appreciation, so he happily kisses Kai on the lips as a thank you.
Q-Mai - They're baking together when Mai accidentally throws batter at Q-Taro's face while talking with her hands. She feels bad at first, but Q-Taro is so quick to laugh it off that she can't help but join him. It's a really sweet moment, and all Mai can think about is that she wants to kiss him, so she does. Q-Taro is thrilled, if not incredibly flustered.
Maiple - Maple was a bit embarrassed to admit that she's never had a first kiss, but Mai quickly assured her that there was no timeline and it was perfectly fine not to have kissed anyone yet. Her words brought comfort, yet Maple was still curious about what it would feel like to press her lips against anothers. This led to Mai volunteering to show her what it's like, an offer that was quickly taken up on.
Maireko - Their first kiss happens right before Reko goes on stage. As usual, Mai wishes her good luck with her performance. Yet her smile seemed wider than usual as she leaned in to connect Reko's lips with hers. "For luck," she said.
Naoreko - They kiss when Reko offers to do Nao's makeup in a goth style similar to hers. She's quick to accept the offer but is surprised at how fast her heart beats with Reko leaning close to her face. Eventually, she blurts out, "Can I kiss you?" After a beat, a very flustered Reko cups her face and pulls her close.
Kaishin - Their first kiss is so simple Shin's head spins when it ends. It occurs as Kai drops him off for work, and as if it were an everyday occurrence, he leans over and leaves a quick kiss on his lips. Neither one addressed it afterward and instead let it become a part of their daily routine.
Alishin - Neither of them is really sure how it happened. They started with their usual banter, which quickly progressed into "Okay, but rhetorically if we kissed, what do you think it would be like?" The situation quickly escalates when Alice accidentally lets it slip that he really does want a kiss, and in a rare moment of courage, Shin quickly stands on his tip toes and kisses him. It happens so fast that Alice jerks back in complete surprise, and Shin is so embarrassed that he wants to crawl into a hole. That is until Alice cups his face gently and goes in for another much better kiss.
Kurushin - Their first kiss is during a bet. Naomichi tells Shin he can lift a heavy object, but the beanie man isn't quick to believe him. This makes Naomichi competitive, and he tells Shin that he will lift it, and if he can, they get to have dinner of his choice. Shin, however, has his own objectives and can't communicate like a normal person. So he tells Naomichi that instead of dinner, he'll get a kiss if he can lift it. Sure enough Naomichi picks it up with the sheer power of gayness.
How I Think YTTD Ships Would React To The Only One Bed Conundrum
Keialice - After a short debate, Keiji and Alice decide to just share the bed. At some point during the night Keiji reaches out and rests his hand on Alice’s shoulder. When Alice wakes up in the morning, he is beyond flustered about Keiji’s hand on his shoulder.
Keishin - Keiji offers to take the couch, but Shin argues that it would be a waste of space as he’d rather uses the couch as a place to set his laptop and such. After a bit of discussion, they decide to use a pillow fort in between them. It only works for a few hours before Shin rolls over the pillows and snuggles into Keiji’s back.
Keishima - Mishima and Keiji would agree pretty quickly to just share the bed. It seems dumb to sleep on the couch when a perfectly good bed is available. They treat it like any other night and go to sleep as usual.
Q-Keiji - Keiji cracks a few jokes about the situation that takes away any awkwardness almost immediately. Q-Taro leans into Keiji’s playful attitude and plays it off as a joke himself. Because of this, it’s not awkward at all when they share a bed later.
Q-Kai - Kai jokes that Q-Taro needs his beauty sleep and calls the front desk asking if they have some sort of folding bed. While Kai wouldn’t mind sharing a bed, he doesn’t want to impose on Q-Taro’s space.
Q-Mai - Mai doesn’t mind sharing the bed, but Q-Taro wants to be a gentleman. He ends up sleeping on the couch to respect Mai’s space.
Maiple - Mai and Maple would be happy with mix up happened. They don’t mind sharing a bed because they like cuddling. It wouldn’t be an inconvenience for them.
Maireko - Reko is incredibly flustered while Mai is just shrugging off the situation. When it’s time for bed Reko lays stiff not wanting to make Mai uncomfortable, but Mai just flings herself on the bed and hugs her as she falls asleep.
Naoreko - Reko gets way more flustered than Nao does about the situation. She offers to take the couch or floor, but if Nao insists that they can both share the bed as long as Reko’s comfortable. Reko ends up on the edge of the bed trying to give Nao most of the space at first, but once Nao falls asleep she scoots closer to Reko and ends up cuddling her. Reko is a blushing mess, but she happily cuddles Nao back.
Kaishin - Kai does much like he would do with Q-Taro, call the hotel and ask for a folding bed. Unlike with Q-Taro, Shin makes the excuse that the folding bed can be placed closer to the door therefore making it safer in case of fire for them to share the folding bed. Kai knows that Shin is just cold but doesn’t bother to call him on it.
Alishin - Despite blushing madly neither of them truly bring up the bed issue. They skirt around the issue until it’s time to sleep. They both climb into the bed together and turn to their sides so they aren’t face to face to make things feel slightly less awkward. When Alice feels Shin trying to pull the covers over his shoulders, he offers that Shin can curl up to his back if he’s cold, as he doesn’t mind. Shin takes up his offer, falling asleep connected to Alice’s back.
Kurushin - Naomichi and Shin take one step in the room and make a telepathic agreement that neither wants to take the couch. Trying to not make it awkward, Shin makes the excuse that it’s better to share a bed anyways in order to conserve body heat. Naomichi points out that they’re in a comfortable hotel, not Antarctica, but Shin stays with his points. Naomichi realizes Shin’s true objectives when Shin tiredly curls into his side later. Not that Naomichi’s complaining.
Keiji Describing Shin: For Keiji, Shin is trouble. He’s a man with eyes holding only slightly more light than a criminal, and a brain who scheme’s more than any thief. He’s infuriating, and perfect. He hates him, but understands him like no other. He’ll push for his death, but find’s it to hard to live without him. What they have is far to complicated to put into words, and Keiji is just fine with that.
Shin Describing Keiji: To Shin, Keiji is strong. Not just in appearance, but personality. He has this darkness attached to him, one that make’s most look away. But Shin can’t stop staring. He’s drawn to the pit that is Keiji Shinogi, and he doesn’t know how long the fall is or if he’ll land. It’s to risky of a gamble to trust, as he has no intention of staring down the barrel of a loaded gun. Not after Kanna was caught in the crossfire.
Sara Describing Anzu: To Sara, Anzu is a break from the horror’s the world brings. When death and destruction surround her, a girl in bright clown attire stands there. She’s a sharp contrast to the other’s who are worn down by the situation they’re in. Despite everything, she jokes and lives more than anyone with a heartbeat. If she closed her eyes, Sara could pretend she was back in school spending time with her friend’s. Those moments of calm gives peace to her always racing mind, and fuels her hope’s to escape beside her.
Anzu Describing Sara: To Anzu, Sara is someone to admire. She seems to glow with an optimistic halo and brave mind. Her eyes only look forward or to other’s, and they stare at Anzu with a kindness that lack’s judgement. It’s hard not to be a bit envious of Ranmaru, she would quickly trade the gaudy prisoner for the brave leader that shine’s like gold.
Kai Describing Shin: To Kai, Shin is a dangerous man. He speaks as if he knows to much, and hide’s a glint of mischief behind eyes that want to be perceived as kind. He reminds him far to much of a man he once knew in ASU-NARO, but something is different. He act’s from the heart, in a way that’s clunky and unsure. Kai thought he saw a gentle to side to him in the bar, when he spoke with Kanna as if she was his sister. If that was the man he was, Kai can’t say he’d half mind him.
Shin Describing Kai: To Shin, Kai is something inhuman. He hide's his thoughts behind cold eyes, and a flat face. Yet, he hold’s an trait that Shin is always tempted to trust. His affection for his sister, his protectiveness of her, and his quiet nature that’s as unsettling as reassuring. It draws him in, and keeps him out. How fascinating Kai Satou can be.
Reko Describing Mai: To Reko, Mai is intense. She’s loud and flirty in a hollow way. It reminds her of her younger self, when she tried to bite back her harsh nature to gather band members. It always felt apart, just like Mai’s façade. The real her is someone caring and brave, strong enough to break a computer monitor with a throwing knife. That’s the Mai Reko likes the most. The real her is captivating.
Mai Describing Reko: To Mai, Reko is like a piece of baked bread. She’s warm, and always a pleasant addition to the day. However, unlike an bakery items, some can find her intimidating. It’s a trait Mai likes so much, as she holds her knife with the same determination. Yet, much like her, deep down Reko is kind. And this kindness is the most beautiful thing.
Keiji Describing Alice: To Keiji, Alice is familiar. His reclusive nature is one of a man with a shady past, and his appearance serve’s as a reminder of his former profession. It make’s him wonder how many of those he put away deserved their sentence, and fill’s him with more regret then he already knows. That inflex of emotion is hard not feel around Alice, as that man carries more feelings than Keiji’s felt in years. Even after being jaded by the past, he’s still apprehensively hopeful. In a strange way, it help’s Keiji hope for something better.
Alice Describing Keiji: To Alice, Keiji is a rascal. He’s a mysterious man who wander’s around with an aura of distrust. Despite these traits, he’s not the loner sort, bonding with other’s in a foolishly hopeful way. Well sort of, he reminds him of a guard during his time in prison. Kind enough on the surface, but holding a certain coldness underneath.
Joesara - Joe and Sara walk around the park. Sara and Joe yell every time they see a dog and ask if they can pet it. They hold hands and get ice cream before throwing coins to make a wish in the fountain. They're both a lot shyer on their dates than they are in school.
Ransara - Ranmaru and Sara try to complete a puzzle! Sara's a lot better than them than Maru. Ranmaru finds all the edge pieces while Sara works on the middle. They chat about school, and Sara tease's him about his feelings for her. When they're finished, they glue the puzzle together to keep, so they'll never forget their first date.
Saraanzu - Sara and Anzu go to the mall. They spend most of the day walking around and window shopping. Anzu wants to find a hoodie that matches hers for Sara. They want to be the cheesy couple who wears matching clothing.
Shinalice - Shin and Alice have a quiet night in and play board games. They play Sorry, Shogi, and Uno for rounds. In the end, nobody is a clear winner, Shin won the majority of the time at Uno, but Alice wins more at Shogi. When they finish, they watch tv on the couch and end up falling asleep together.
Kaishin - Kai and Shin cook for each other. Shin's not the best cook, but he can make a mean bowl of soup. And Shin loves Kai's cooking. Frequent cook off's are a recurring theme in their house.
Keishin - Keiji and Shin have a movie date. They try to watch a romance to get in the date mood, but they end up bantering about how cheesy it is and laughing at how silly the characters actions are.
Naoreko - Nao and Reko go to a concert! Nao was nervous about how'd it go, but in the end, she gets more into headbanging to the music than Reko does. Nao even makes Reko a custom band shirt before they go. They haven't even left the venue before they're planning their next concert.
Maireko - Mai and Reko go to the café and drink coffee and chat about their day. Mai loves the aesthetic of a quiet café, and Reko enjoys the break from her loud stage life. If you ask Reko, Mai still makes the best hot chocolate, but the café is pretty good too.
Keishima - Keiji and Mishima spend the night star gazing and drinking a bottle of wine. Mishima knows many constellations, and Keiji has learned so much about the stars through Mishima's teaching. In return, Keiji brings a good bottle of wine.
