Of course! I know i haven't updated the Maize and co. Sideblog for a while. Life happened, but the snakes are doing great!

Finally put an Interlibrary Loan Request in for Mutants of Maize it looks great on the list amongst all the research materials on Inuit culture (zero corn culture) gotta keep em guessing 😎

first of all, same. second of all the mutants of maize is such a gem especially if you can get the 2nd edition that’s like 400+ pages instead of the original 60-ish pages for expanded mutated corn content. i was thinking about the corn in that book that a accidentally glows under UV light just the other day (doesn’t do it on purpose, just makes a byproduct that glows instead of one that doesn’t, as we all have at one point or another). also i think the concept of a book that’s just all the worst ways they can be bad at it is just really funny, like a corn cringe compilation

(admin's note: per the linked blog in the comment, Maize is in good health. An open mouth can signal respiratory distress in snakes, but Maize has a differently-shaped jaw due to a birth defect and holds his mouth open because it is comfortable. He can close his mouth, eat, and drink as normal.)
