Some of this technically happens to her right before BG3!! (considering Durge was on the Absolute's side of the "war" before getting amnesia - though in Ali's case it was something she was physically possessed into against her will, it still counts!)

But aside from that, she's fought in MULTIPLE wars and rebellions before that point (both on the "winning" and "losing" side, though I hesitate to say that anyone really "won" when it comes to some of these situations). There was a civil war in Neverwinter, an Eilistraean rebellion WITHIN a war in the Underdark that extended to Waterdeep during the Silence of Lolth, etc (both happening during NWN).

She was also a Harper during the Wailing Years, and as far as I know there's nothing that goes too deeply into detail about how the Spellplague wiped out the Harpers, but you can guess that caused a lot of problems for them just based on the Spellplague did to Toril as a whole (and Aebir).

You can imagine not being able to use magic - even to heal or resurrect people - would make a lot of conflicts much bloodier in Faerûn.

Yes! She’s Lindsay’s older sister and came to exist wayyyy way after Lindsay’s design had been established, so it’s made to align with that in terms of appearance and… theme color I guess? (and the designs of their parents, though I don’t think I’ve ever posted those)

8: What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story?

She’s her family’s Good Grade Child who is terrified to not be perfect and let everyone down and who never learned to ask anyone for help. sorry girl

14: If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be?

This one’s hard. Hmm. Let’s see.

1. She cannot ask for help. She can accept help, in certain situations, but she cannot ask for it.

2. She loves her family, especially her sister, more than anything.

okay so the whole base premise is that she's resurrected by ketheric early + doesn't get away. she is instead imprisoned in moonrise towers as the absolute plan progresses

the fic is essentially a mystery where isobel puzzles out bits of the absolute plan + aylin being alive and fueling ketheric's immortality while trying to escape

the apology is bc coronach is doing narrative double-duty as isobel's partner-in-crime (it also wants to figure out ketheric's immortality for inevitable betrayal reasons) and as an antagonist (still the chosen of bhaal and doing the absolute plot at this point). given that this is pre-canon coronach who is weirdly jealous of isobel even when she's dead because she has a father who cares about her safety somewhat, they are Unpleasant To Be Around long-term lol

i've repeated this same ramble to basically everyone who'd listen but hear me out, followers of mine.

so what's interesting about ganondorf and has been pointed out frequently by others is that he's a very lonely character. he sits on the throne alone every incarnation. his pursuit of power has, in the end, left him without true equals, so i'd imagine genuine romance is off the table as in both impractical and unattractive to want. ganondorf instead surrounds himself with likeminded, powerful intellectuals, who, frankly, all obsess over him. because he's addicted to divorcing twinks

anyway that's where yuga comes in. this ship works best in hyrule warriors i think. yuga i've always headcanoned as aromantic asexual but i cannot ignore that he's one of the only ganon goonies that died on good terms with that sentient blob of dark power (fused with his ganon in a last ditch effort to retain the triforce). he'd show up through the time gate and wear that prevailing metaphorical wedding ring with pride. and, well, he's probably going to be very pleased to see that this ganon has beauty beyond power, and is also a handsome beefcake. you wouldn't be able to pry that man off of him with a crowbar to stop him from playing with his hair and fussing over his skincare routine

so what we'd end up with is a queerplatonic relationship. something that's physical, devoted, but without the baggage of romance. i can just intricately imagine yuga draped over his lap to gawk at him and ol' nando amused and endeared by him. and hearing out each others' sorrows. yuga would be his beautiful platonic trophy wife and it's canon to me

and, theo, you also pointed out to me that yuga drops ganondorf's jewelry. dude went "here hold my earrings" before heading out to battle

god. can you imagine if they had been smart and followed through on the themes of tfa. and if they had compelling intelligent character arcs. rey feels drawn to anakins lightsaber, and thinks she has to live up to his legacy, but her arc instead focuses on leaving the past behind and forging your own destiny, so she makes her own with luke, and leaves both the family that abandoned her and the lightsaber behind. meanwhile, finn thinks hes on his own, and that he has to fight alone but (cont) 1/2

(cont) but instead, finn finds family and legacy as he meets luke skywalker and the two of them realize theyre family. the first order had taken finn from him during the attack on lukes temple, and luke had been blaming himself ever since, for not being able to protect his infant son, and had isolated himself to keep from bringing harm to anyone else, but here his son had finally found his way back to him, entirely on accident. 2/3 because apparently i got inspired
