Me and @elofrommars chose chapter 231, second interaction, yay! I kind cheated, but I’m really satisfied with this one. I drew it based on Elo’s fanfic and... wow, boy. Hawk’s feelings. Some heavy stuff. You can read it here, and remember to leave kudos and a lovely feedback!

Vol. 1, Ch 3. Fire Dragons and Monkeys and Cows
Chapter 3 is a feel good chapter and makes us wanna love our parents because really they are trying their hardest to make their kids proud of them. They want to be strong for us and just take this as a reminder to cut your parents some slack because they love you no matter what you do to them. [although everyone has different circumstances than the rest of us so shout to those who actually have shitty parents out there. just know that I love you even if I don’t know you lol].
We see that the Vulcan has taken Lucy and Horologium hostage basically because the monkey thinks Lucy is a pretty girl, which she is I mean c’mon Lucy is a bad bitch who looks fine all the time. However, Lucy gets caught in a bind when time with Horologium runs out and she seems to be left helpless without her celestial spirit.
Not all is lost though when Natsu comes slipping in to save the day.
Literally.
Natsu’s slips for his grand entrance reminding us that he’s still a clumsy adorable idiot.
Natsu trying to converse with the Vulcan goes awry and the Vulcan ends up punching Natsu off Hakabe Mountain from the cave the scene is taking place in. Lucy cries out for Natsu [ahhh the NaLu angst] as he falls and worries about him.
She decides that even though her magic power is running low she’ll have to defeat the Vulcan herself to save Natsu. How does she do this? Well dear reader we get to meet yet another celestial spirit! We meet the one and only Golden Bovine, TAURUS ! The thing I like most about Lucy’s spirits is all of their weird quirks and personalities. We met Aquarius who was hot tempered and picks on Lucy. Then we got Horologium who is polite and punctual. Then lastly there is Taurus the pervy muscleman...or cow.
The fight rages on to only be stopped by Natsu who thinks Taurus is a bad monster and kicks Taurus unconscious. Upon Natsu’s return, we learn the reason why Natsu doesn’t get motion sick when Happy carries him and it’s because he sees Happy as a friend and not as a mode of transportation, which I think is so sweet and adorable. Not only does Natsu see just Happy as a friend but everyone in the Fairy Tail guild is one. We see more of Natsu’s strength as he melts Taurus’s axe with his fire and eats that as a power boost, creating FIRE DRAGON’S IRON PUNCH/FIST.
After the defeating blow is completed we come to find the pervy Vulcan was actually Makao! The guy Natsu was looking for. Not only that but we discover he was overtaken by the 20th Vulcan he tried to defeat, after having defeated 19 of them before. Lucy is shook. She can’t believe the strength that just one of these Fairy Tail wizards posses and the determination to become a better/the best wizard in the Fairy Tail guild sets within her. She has such a glow up y’all and I love her so much. Also she manages to catch Natsu, Makao, and Happy. In other words SHE A STRONG ASS WOMAN PEOPLE.
All ends well and Makao, even after having a severe injury, recovers and is taken back to Magnolia to Romeo, who is sorry and felt at fault for his father being put in danger in the first place because of some punk ass kids bullying him and saying his dad was a weak wizard. Makao tells him he defeated 19 monsters and to use that to talk back to those mean ass kids.
Lastly, we read Lucy’s thoughts on the guild, which she says is “a mess of a guild but it’s fun and the people are warm and kind” and she “knows she’s going to love this place”. She already feels like she belongs y’all and I love it. She feels that she found a place where she can be herself and not really be judged for it because everyone is just as weird and rowdy.
What a life. I wish I had an awesome group of friends like the ones in Fairy Tail but I have like three friends, but hey those guys are like my Fairy Tail fam. I’ll take it and I’m happy with that.
Fun fact: the fire dragon in the title is Natsu, the monkey in the title is the Vulcan, and the cow in the title is Makao Taurus.
