Fairy Tail Headcanons pt 5:

After Lucy told off the Celestial Spirit King, he added a clause to all contracts that spirits can leave their mage if they are abusive

Happy’s and Gray’s favorite spirit is Loke. Erza’s is Cancer. Natsu likes Virgo but has a soft spot for Aries too.

Juvia is really protective of Erza. Almost as protective as she is of Gray. Same with Lucy actually. Only Juvia can bully her

Natsu still stands by his threat to kill Jellal if he ever hurts Erza again. Everyone thinks it’s cute and not serious. But Jellal knows it’s true and lives in fear

Porylusica has a secret soft spot for Erza because she remembers the sad little girl that came to her with a missing eye

Bickslow fully thought Lucy was a dominatrix before he met her

Just wanted to draw Lucy with the celestial spirits she’s had since she was (presumably) a kid. I think aside from the staff her celestial spirits were her family. I believe they went out of their way to take care of her sometimes ^^.

And as a bonus just Layla and Jude because I didn’t want Layla and Lucy to look identical to each other. 🙌

"Your Prince has arrived, Lucy," Loke stated with an easygoing grin on his face.

"What are you doing here?!" Lucy gaped, turning around to face the sudden appearance of the celestial spirit

"It was the power of love that has summoned me," he exclaimed, small stars surrounding him as he pushed his glasses upward.

"Love my behind! You're here to catch a glimpse, aren't you?!" Lucy yelled, flustered. She had been in the middle of trying on a few clothes in a local shop when the man appeared.

"I got to say I definitely approve of this get-up," He admitted, throwing the mage a thumbs up, a dopey smile growing on his similarly red face.

"Loki-nii!" A voice cheered, taking the pair's attention as a small form crashed into the Lion's arms.

"Agh!" He exclaimed, fumbling to keep himself and the new arrival from plummeting to the ground.

"Dokucha? Dokucha!" He stared, confused, at the small girl now on his arm, until he realized who it was.

"Loki-nii! I missed you so much!" She exclaimed, wrapping her hands around him tightly.

Lucy let out a sigh at this, but a small smile still grew on her face.

"Loke-nii! Can you stay a little bit, please?! You never stay long anymore, and I want to spend time with you!" she pleaded.

Loke looked up at his celestial Wizard with a questioning gaze, one she returned with a huff and a knowing smile, as if she knew this would be the outcome of the interaction. And perhaps she did. Ever since Dokucha was a baby, Lucy had passed on the philosophy that Celestial spirits should be treated as equals rather than tools to be used.

Because of this, the youngest Heartifilia had learned to care and love the spirits as friends, though it was clear that she had her favorites, and Loke, Loke was very high on that list for a reason Lucy could never quite understand. Although she didn't put much thought into it, she was simply happy that her sister had formed such tight bonds with the spirits. Plus, she always had a hard time denying her sister's requests, as it was rare for the child to really ask for things.

"You can watch her while I finish trying these on, but don't go too far, alright?" she sighed.

"Really?!" Dokucha exclaimed ecstatically as she jumped out of the man's arms to run towards Lucy, giving her leg a tight hug.

"Thank you, Nee-san!" she thanked with a toothy grin.

"No problem, just stay out of trouble and don't leave Loke's side, alright?!”

"Okay!" she called as she ran back to the Lion and once again jumped into his hands. He happily received her and placed her on his hip, as he, too, gave his goodbyes to the mage.

"Loke! Your hair is longer!" she noted, passing her fingers through the spirit's orange spiky tresses as the two wandered around with no set destination.

"It has, I've let it grow. Do you like it?" He teased

"Mmhm! You look even more handsome now!"

"Hahaha! Thank you, kitty! I have to say you look quite dashing today too!" he piped up with a gentle smile.

"Thank you! I actually asked Big Brother Cancer to teach me to do my hair like you! Look, I have ears now!" she cheered, tilting her head to give the spirit a better view of the two small buns neatly wrapped on top of her head in a triangular shape to simulate the appearance of animal ears.

Loke paused, looking at her new hairstyle, a slight blush, and a dopey smile growing on his face.

"Dokucha... You're so cute!" He gushed, rubbing their cheeks together, producing a string of laughter from the girl. The two goofed off like this for a few minutes before making their way to a small bench until Lucy had finished her 'duties'.

"Hey Loki-nii?" Dokucha questioned, looking up at the man from their place in his lap

"Hmm, what is it, kitty?"

"Can you show me your magic again? Please," she begged, watching the Lion's Spirit let out a sigh.

"My, My, I could never say no to such a cute girl," He mused, lifting his hand and allowing Regulus to flow through him, the summoned light coming together into the shape of a cat. With a wave of his hand, he willed the casted light to move around, watching as the girl followed the movement of the now pouncing cat with marvel. Eventually, its light particles began fading away until it had disappeared completely.

"Your magic is so pretty, Loki-nii, do you think I can make magic pretty like that?" she questioned, glancing up at him with innocent eyes.

"Hmm, perhaps, but it's more than likely that you will inherit your lineage's Celestial magic."

"I don't know if I want that, though," she stated with a pout.

"How come?" Leo questioned, raising an eyebrow at the statement

"Well, what if I'm not a good enough friend? What if I get spirits and I don't have enough friend power? " she wondered with exaggerated expressions as she told him her worries.

"Pff, Friend power?"

"Don't laugh!"

"Sorry, Sorry," he chuckled, rubbing her head as he leaned back, looking up at the sky.

"I think you are probably worrying about nothing. You will make great bonds with your spirits; the fact that you are sitting and talking to me like a normal person proves that."

"Ah? But you are a person, Loke-nii! The most handsome one!" She exclaimed, shooting up, standing on his lap, and placing her hands on his chest to be face-to-face with the man who by now had returned his attention to her.

Hearing her say such a thing, that she believed in the spirits to the point that one suggesting they were anything less than people was met with genuine bafflement, brought a small smile to his face.

"Not everyone thinks that; a lot of celestial Wizards just think of us as tools, Kitty, that's why I'm so sure you will be a great celestial Wizard; you have a great wizard teaching you the right ways of celestial magic."

"Who said that! I- I will fight them...Well, I can't fight them, but I will tell Lucy-neesan, and she will fight them! A-And then I will tell Natsu-nii, Gray-nii, Erza-neesan, and everyone! I will even tell Yukino-neesan!"

"Hahaha! I don't doubt that, Kitty, but don't worry, your big sister got ahead of you and got them a good beating."

"Ha! Ha! That's what they get!"

"Now then, I believe your sister should be about done by now, should we go find her?" Loke questions lifting himself up and returning her to her place on his hip.

"Okay! Say, Loke-nii, can Aries-Nee come play with us next time?"

"Hmm, I would have to ask the celestial King, I'm not sure he would be a fan of two Golden keys taking leave at the same time."

"That's okay! We can go to the Moustache's man Magic world! Then you won't be gone, so he can't say no!" she proudly proposed.

"Heh, I'll see what I can negotiate, Kitty."

like, it would be so easy for them to not give a damn, but instead they always go out of their way to ask her to be their owner and to take care of her even when she doesn't ask

Happy and or one of the celestial spirits babysitting Nasha while natsu and Lucy are out on a job

Urgh I had written the longest answer to this with this huge scenario of every spirit coming to help Happy in his baby-sitting job, but ofc Tumblr deleted it mid sentence🙄 it went something like this:

Natsu Happy and Lucy go on a mission, plans to have Gemini-Lucy be the babysitter. Lucy gets mom-nerves last minute and makes sure that Happy stays behind (he still gets his share of the reward + he thinks it’ll be an easy job taking care of Nasha, so he gladly oblige)

Gemini and Happy are hopeless. Nasha won’t stop crying: H convinces G to switch places with Aries I’m hope that she’ll calm Nasha down. It only works for like 20 minutes, then her throat opens wide in cries again. Aries switches places with Loke who manages to figure out that they should change diapers on Nasha — yay! She’s still not happy though, Loke switches back to G (he wants to be on call for Lucy too).

Then Nasha starts rummaging around the apartment. It’s supposed to be child safe, but it’s more Natsu-safe. Nasha figures out the child locks, and in panic G calls for backup. First Lyra (she doesn’t get that they’re trying to calm Nasha down, so she plays an upbeat melody — no help), then Capricorn (he gets So Awkward with children that Happy has to face palm). Scorpio gives it a try — he just scares Nasha. Cancer enters but leaves as fast as he came (scissors and kids don’t work well together). Taurus comes in a clutch and gives Nasha a warm cup of milk (except she won’t take it from Taurus bc he’s scary — the milk helps calm her nerves though). Pyxis and Plue tries their best to entertain her, but quickly give up since she’s too shy to show appreciation. Meanwhile Virgo and Leo come in and do the occasional diaper change, but staying as much as the celestial world as possible so they can be by Lucy’s side when she needs them.

Happy and Gemini are sweating. Crux has been doing research about kids in the celestial world, but fell asleep before figuring anything out.

Happy calls out for Horologium in desperation. Turns out Nasha loves Horologium to death and sleeps her very best inside of him. Peace, finally. Happy goes to wash his face in the sink — in enters Aquarius, finally! Except she’s seething in anger about the spirits’ reckless treatment of Nasha. Why are they letting a child sleep in a clock? Insanity, she mutters.

Aquarius is GOOD at keeping an eye on kids. She managed Lucy, and she’ll manage Nasha too. Nasha absolutely adores Aquarius — like mother like daughter after all. One day, Nasha will get to summon Aquarius herself, and Aquarius will feel honoured to be in the hands of another kid with the Heartfilia bloodline.
