anyway, since i logged in today, after getting him like yesterday?? i wanted to play with him right away sossososososo i levelled up and equipped him with what i got from the temple of space, with that vault with the heavenly artifact set, some i stole for atk from existing characters of mine heeheeheh
so i put him and replaced my wanderer for a while to see his raw dmg so far, i have him at level 40 for now and like i put both of them together with durin and barbara so he doesn't die lol
i explored the lot of newest nod krai area-- piramida iirc and likeeeee, after being excited and shi and reviving his ass many times, like 2 times with that world quest with the pillars i finally got enough primos for 1 10 pull and he came home at the first pull like-- it was capturing radiance too!! the special animation was there :3!!! isn't that only supposed to happen it certain conditions like, losing 50/50 3 times in a row? which didn't happen to me btw

OH AND GUES WHATTTT, i tried to cook some dishes for replenishing my supply and after exhausting/cooking up an available 14 dishes for unagi chazuke, WANWAN did NOT GIVE ME HIS SPECIAL DISH but the other characters who give out special dishes did!?!?!?!? even at 12?!?!?!? what is this biased behavioRwqklfhjaghasghslg
i skipped brunch for this y'all and missed my weekly commission temper journey like an idiot, so maybe it was a compensation wow i am happily delusional for this :3!!!!
warnings: self aware characters and perhaps some spoilers for Zhongli's identity (but who other than complete new players wouldnt know at this point), and I wrote this at 2 because I couldn’t sleep
“Good evening, fancy seeing you here.”
Zhongli had his arms crossed, a voiceless text box appearing on your screen after spotting and interacting with him during your errands in Liyue Harbor. His head was turned towards the traveler, a smile on his face (albeit not as noticeable). However, you couldn’t put your finger on it, but it felt as if he was looking right into Aether’s eyes rather than generally looking in his direction.
No response options appeared, except with the prompt given in the text box at the bottom blank, a cursor indicating that you must type something blinking in the center of the semi-transparent box.
Must be some new feature.
Just to see what happens, your hands glided across the keys.
"ACKONFOAIUENILELUAHSBDBICUIWP"
You can only chuckle as Zhongli's expression changes to one of confusion, his arms unfolding to his sides in a more fluid animation compared to the preset ones made by Hoyoverse.
"M-My apologies, could you... repeat yourself?"
The text cursor prompting you to type an answer returns. Might as well humor the game.
"It's nice to see you."
The former archon's eyes widen for a second before softening, a similarly mellow smile appearing, the unusual sight making you reflect the giddy feelings you didn't know he was experiencing. He was too handsome for his own good-
"Likewise."

Zhongli had no idea what to say next. Unknown to the being behind Aether's endeavors in Teyvat, the traveler has been translating their language to the Liyuen he's used to and back. He's surprised that neither party has been affected by the one who calls itself the "System." He was even more shocked at Aether's sudden request to try something out before that being returns. For now...
"Traveler, what should I say?" He muttered under his breath to avoid being detected by Aether's little guide.
"Hold on, they're about to say someth--What are you doing?"
Truth be told, he was actually told by Aether to just stand around this area. Though not something he would agree to so easily, he did so after quick consideration when the traveler mentioned he found a way to avoid the "System" being. Zhongli can comprehend his situation (most of the time, at least, and has been fixing a certain issue when he goes out shopping) and thought of a story in case any bystanders were to question him.
"I was doing some errands for the funeral parlor and thought to take a break."
Absolute lie; he was about to buy something before finally remembering his money situation and was going to head back to the parlor for mora, which was when he was stopped by Aether.
"Is it something urgent?" The traveler translates.
Zhongli shakes his head.
"Not something terribly important, no. Just a small errand that has gone undone for a while."
As Aether relays the player's reply, Zhongli's face slightly contorts to one of nervousness, though unnoticeable by the player.
As I was hammering away on my anvil. A small boy with golden eyes and a fierce look with several billets of different kinds with enough ore to help forge it. "That'll be 2000 Mora for two Amenoma Kageuchi, a crescent pike and a whiteblind." As the teen slapped Mora down and waited impatiently for the forging to be done. It just took a couple of minutes to forge them. Especially the Amenoma Kageuchi since I've forged it twice before. "Here you go silent traveler." Suddenly I felt a slight disturbance in the blacksmithing world. "Thanks to the player for making me even stronger than before. I can now kill demons twice as fast when I'm off the clock." The teen then teleported away with a barely there smile on his face.
Some time later, "I need a lot of enhancement ores and fast." The same teen came up after a day or two. Mora and iron ore intermixed on the table. The teen as quick as the wind took the enhancement ores as soon as 2 to 3 of them are ready. After the orders were completed. More crystal ores and Mora joined the table as soon as the enhancement ores were done. "We need 20 mystic enhancement ores as soon as possible." The raven haired teen stated.
Several hours later, the teen came back and took the ore. Didn't say a word before going back into the wilds of narakami. As the shrill sound of hillichurl screams cut short and nobushis lives were cut short. By none other than the raven haired teen I helped.

I’m off here in delululand imagining Wanderer’s reaction since I main him most of the time now; my Manekina form suddenly gets a voice, Nicole style, no lip flaps— well that’s just normal gameplay stuff now, it’s not like my Manekina doesn’t have their own set voice; but this time, it’s from the player so ehejwjee jejsj the possibilities are possibilitying..!!!!
we can mute others, and obv have voice moderation but overall, gonna be truly chaotic. I have yet to log in and try tho, i am so excitedddd

The Game System is confused. Its job is to make sure you're satisfied, but the abnormal activity of the characters that it's supposed to prevent also makes you happy.

System had Traveler Aether summoned. A conversation ensued and... A decision had been made. Originally wanted to request he and the others cease their activity but had come to terms with helping them.

Xiao wasn't one to be stubborn. But when you appeared, he found himself fighting more than he thought. Fighting his own suffering, and the new experiences that come with your appearance. He's been ignoring it, but it's hard for the others to ignore how stubborn he's become fighting back at their suppressor.
Aether finds him to try and calm him down.
"How-" Xiao doesn't look back, but Aether knows he's got a frown on his face. "How did you find me?"
The blond sighs, sitting himself down on a nearby rock. He can only imagine how many mobs Xiao had slashed down with how there were puddles of dark crimson surrounding them, staining the grass and slightly splashing on the stone he's sitting on. Surprisingly, there's not a single speck on the Vigilant Yaksha. Or, at least Aether can see so far in the star-lit night.
"Zhongli told me you were around here. Said the last time you two met up, you weren't doing so well. Thought you might go to a place like this."
"Of course he did," Xiao mutters to himself, spear disappearing into the air in shining floating particles.
Aether reaches into the air in a grabbing motion, light enveloping his hand before it dims, forming into a plate of Almond Tofu. Despite being punished by the very same System that gave him the ability, he does find the functions useful when he uses them the same way as Them.
"Here," He sets the plate beside him on a flat part of the stone. "I made one for you." 'So I don't use the dishes They made and get in trouble.'
Xiao pensively turns his head over to the side at the scent of the dish, deciding whether or not to give in to the temptation. In the end, he gives in, knowing he needed something to take his mind off of everything.
Aether makes room for Xiao as he approaches him, lifting up the plate and scooting to the side.
Everyone has been worrying about Xiao recently. At first, they thought it was that karmic debt of his--until Aether found him screaming in anger about their current situation out in the wild as he had cut away at surrounding trees. Sure, he was happy that there was another person who knew about Them and the System, but he felt conflicted about how Xiao had reacted.
'He didn't take it well the first time it happened.' Aether thought as he watched Xiao slowly eat the Almond Tofu, seemingly savoring the taste. 'Guess he couldn't handle that so-called punishment.'
"Say, Aether." Xiao's voice interrupts his thoughts, bringing him back to the moment. "Are you able to hear them, too?"
His eyes widen at the sudden question before Aether could only give a sheepish smile. "Ah- I guess I could say that."
Xiao pauses his meal. "You guess you could say that?"
"Well, it's a bit different for me.."
"Different?"
Aether stops to think about how to explain it.
"It's different from how others have described it. Venti told me They sounded like listening to distant wind chimes. Albedo told me he hears whispers. But for me..." He looks to the sky then back at Xiao. "It's like instead of hearing them, I feel their voice. Like they're speaking from inside of me and I can feel the vibrations."
"Does-" He looks away from Xiao's face nervously. "Does that make any sense?"
Clearly, the Yaksha is pondering what he was told as he looks down at his plate as it becomes silent for a moment. 'I feel uncomfortable now.' Aether wants to shrink.
Xiao looks up at Aether before continuing his food. The traveler wanted to say something but was unable to find the words he needed, feeling paralyzed sitting next to the teal-streaked male beside him finishing the plate of tofu.
Just before he could blurt something out, his view is blocked by the sudden appearance of the now empty plate.
"Thank you."
Aether slowly reaches to take it back, voice almost wavering. "Yo-You're welcome."
The awkward silence feels thick between them, the blond unsure if he should speak up. "I-"
"They sound like the other voices."
"Huh?"
"Like my karmic debt. But unlike the cold screams," Xiao looks away up into the stars. "They don't sound loud. It's different when I hear their voice."
"It's softer." He mumbles, though loud enough that Aether can hear.
Suddenly, he stands up from his seat.
"So," He gives a serious look at the traveler. "I wanted to know if you could understand them."
Aether stares back. "Understand them? Why?"
"I want to talk to them. I heard that you made contact with them earlier."
Xiao thinks back to the kind treatment you've given him since you appeared. 'I want to tell them thank you.'
