You can't tell me Vel didn't attempt to give this man a make-over
I wish to be remade.
Unlike the apple with its wholeness of the flesh, the orange can be taken apart and put back together again, segment by segment, skin over skin. It can be remade. I wished to be remade. I wished to hold variousness in my own skin and exist as all the incorrigible things I am at once—not peeled and portioned out and made palatable for someone else’s appetite. I sought my own meaning, expressed how I see fit.

Make-over or makeover?
I think the proper one is either, but if you go with "when", an added dash that moves it into the same sentence as the next panel, to start with the word "so"?
Betty seems not so much upset that Veronica is taking Archie than that she is breaking her date up with her to take Archie.

ABSURDITY IN COMICS - Case # 1
An absurd story was included in “Modeling with Millie” #26.
Chili Storm, Millie’s rival, up until this issue always wore her hair perk-a-boo style with one eye covered (like actress Veronica Lake).
Chili decides to get a make-over with a new style - not covering her eye. Chili is surprised how gorgeous she looks and wonders why she covered one eye all those years!
Her co-workers don’t recognize her when she arrives at work!?!
I think her original style (for a comic character) was more distinctive.
They did not have to do that to Maaike, she has so much potential! I also think Ulrike looks much better now! ♥
Who else thought that Anne Hathaway's character in "Princess Diaries" was cuter before her make-over?
