Small victories of the week: So, st the beginning of this year, inspired by an idea my bestie had last year to give us a more positive outlook, I decided this year that every week, I would find one small victory for the week - no matter how small. I've posted some on here, I've told people about some, and I've kept some to myself, but every day there has been one. These are this week's three: 1 - I got my Red belt! This is only the first step on a long road to the Black belt, but it is a step, and everything after the first one is just repetition of a process, right? Plus, as I loosen up and get more flexible, I'm able to put more and more effort in each week - which is ace! 2 - After one set being far too easy so we raised the weight, for my last set of exercises today during my session with Terry, I asked for the weight to be raised again, because I was confident that I could do more! And THEN, not only did I smash the last set out... I did one more set afterwards... with 5 extra reps... at the higher weight... 💪🏼 3 - You may have seen before that I time my journey home from PT sessions in order to see my progress. Before I set off this afternoon, filled with confidence from 2, I said "I'm gonna smash my time today". I meant 60-90 seconds, not 6 MINUTES! Also, during a set of chest presses with more weight than I've done before, I realised something. While for one week, something might be a small victory - if you do it for 4 weeks in a row, it becomes a decent victory. Make it to 13 for a quarter, you're on a big victory. I'm on 39. 9 months. WHAT A FUCKING ACHIEVEMENT! I'm bloody well proud of myself. Thank you for the love and support - I love you all. #teamAidan #tryingtobelessofafatlump #weightloss #smashingit #makeAidangreatagain https://www.instagram.com/p/B246M8bhveg/?igshid=1dmmg1t09d98z
