Yesterday I purchased nothing. I spent the day with my sister walking around Portland looking at all the sales and all the people keen to take advantage of them. Do you notice how Black Friday marketing makes us believe if we don’t buy that item or shop a sale this weekend that we won’t be happy or our holiday shopping will be unfulfilled?! And it works! I’m guilty of it too. I used to believe that I had to have it this weekend. Now, if I have to shop for products I make sure it is something I’m going to have for a very long time and from a company that is conscious of its impact regardless of a sale.
