#Jesus #Go #Makedisciples #Baptize This is known as the Great Commission, that last command Jesus gives His disciples before He leaves. However, there’s a big misunderstanding regarding this. Many versions of this read as “Go…” implying Jesus is telling them to go forth & make disciples. However, the translation literally reads as “Having gone.” This is huge! That means that Jesus was actually saying, “Having gone from here, as you go, make men into disciples.’ Jesus only went 200 miles from home, but it wasn’t about how far He went. It was about what He did while He was going. And He was Healing & teaching wherever He went. “As you are going, MAKE DISCIPLES.” We don’t have to leave for Africa or China to follow the Commission. We can start here in our hometown. When we’re at work or in school, we can start MAKING disciples. That being said, don’t forget the most important part of the Commission: knowing Jesus. The verse clearly commands us to teach Jesus’ ways to those we baptize. That means our life becomes a classroom, but before we can teach we have to learn the material. Have you ever seen blind man lead another? It’s painful & slow. That’s what we look like if we try to teach Jesus Way but don’t even understand it. Nobody wants a teacher who doesn’t know the material. I urge u to start setting aside time to really meditate on Jesus’ teachings, starting w/ The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). As you meditate, record what you learn. Then, as you go about your day, look for ways you can apply Jesus’ teachings or share your Faith with those around you. It doesn’t matter your vocation, occupation, or education. As you go, make disciples. In Jesus Name https://www.instagram.com/p/CHWT9tpjn5Y/?igshid=spjaz4by6f7f
