In the 1956 Vintage, Bob Jones Jr. adds this letter. Remember that within a year, Bob Jones University would separate from Billy Graham over his embrace of racial integration. 

Dear Senior,

Although I usually write each senior a personal letter after graduation, I am glad to have the opportunity to include this letter in the annual; and I hope you will consider it as personally written to you.

Bob Jones University is and alway will be your school You will bear the stamp of this institution wherever you go. We are, by God's help, going to keep this University the kind of institution any spiritual, soul-winning graduate will be proud to claim as his Alma Mater. You have a responsibility to help us preserve the spirit and the testimony of Bob Jones University so that what it has done in your life, it can accomplish in the lives of other students in the years to come as the Lord tarries.

We have some great plans for the future. Please pray that the Lord will give us strength and wisdom to meet the challenge of the coming years. Our prayer is that like the Psalmist you will "set the Lord always before" you and so find in His presence "fulness of joy" and at His right hand "pleasures for evermore."

May God bless you and give you the power, the passion, the joy, and the reward of a soul winner.

Stedfast Christians

Acts 2:42 KJV And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 

Christians need to learn to be stedfast in the faith and in doctrine. It's no use being inconsistent in your walk with God, especially if you halt between two opinions. If you want to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, then you must learn to stand by your convictions and your Bible-based principles. Not only that, but you must be stedfast in all areas of the Christian life. That includes soul winning, holy living, doing good works, and going to church every Sunday. God does not value inconsistency, nor does He use Christians that are back and forth. Stand by what you believe, keep going soul winning, and never let go of your church attendance. God bless you all.
