So, MakeGirls.moe is an AI that generates anime girls based either on criteria that you enter or completely at random. So, if I enter parameters to generate a character who looks like Chiyo from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun with a fixed noise level, I’ll get something like this:
If I set the noise to random however, the AI will try all sorts of things within the parameters, like these:
If the infinite monkey theorem has any merit to it, then running this AI through all of its possibilities for happy purple-eyed anime girls with orange hair tied up in ribbons should eventually, in theory, result in a passable Chiyo.
This AI isn’t perfect, of course. If you look closely at the eyes, you might notice that they’re slightly heterochromatic, or seem slightly... off. You can end up with some strange Chiyos, like this:
Or, uh...
Hmm. Since it’s pulling parts that it thinks looks good together based on the shape and angle of the face, you’ll usually get parts that match well on faces looking straight ahead... but tilted heads or ones angled to give them more depth can result in... well. Let’s take a look with all parameters randomized.
Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it... does not. You’ll also occasionally run into a blending failure, resulting in the glitchy-eyed and mouse-faced girls above, or something like this:
That said, it’s still an interesting tool to test out character ideas, play around, or design your very own Top Tier Waifu. Me? I’m gonna keep million-monkeying my way to a viable Sakura Chiyo.
...Wish me luck.
