NPCs - Progress
I’m currently still having some trouble with spawning the sims but here is a little preview of one of the NPCs. I think a lot of you will recognize her from Sims 2!
In my version Olive is a spellcaster and skilled medium so she will require ROM and the paranormal pack. I’m also unsure which outfit she should wear when encountering her. Which look do you prefer? The fancier look or the more traditional one? Oh and I’m also trying to implement the cat I gave her in my makeover save!
PBP Studio Hotel I need some new builds for Del Sol Valley for my De Reve legacy save because I hate all of the original community lots. This build sits next to my Plumbob pictures museum build. I’m trying to go for an older and more elegant look for this build. I looked at some art deco facades as inspiration for the exterior but it’s hard since the game lacks facade decorations to make the building less flat. Currently I’m struggling with finding an interior style I like. I hate picking wallpapers...
This build is meant to be a hotel so I can combine different venue features and include a lounge, spa, gym and pool. Oh and I still hope we might get hotels back in the future!
PBP Studio Hotel - progress
Changed my mind and turned the whole lot around - I thought it would make more sense if the main entrance would face the street and the red carpet was angled towards the walk of fame.
For the landscaping I tried to mix it up and added a few tropical plants from Island Living.
I added a photo wall on the backside of the building since I figured that would be fitting - I added the photo markers as well so your Sims can pose for photos.
I’m still struggling with the interior. I changed the doors, floors & wallpapers for a lighter theme but meh... Still not 100% happy! I’m also struggling with the lounge area and the stage.
Plumbob picture museum - More sets & activities! I added some more sets to the basement. Additonally I hid scene markers and photo markers all around the place so you can actually interact with the sets. The basement also has a little “behind the scenes” area where you can change into costumes and reenact sword fights in front of the photo wall. This lot also features a cafe & cinema I haven’t shown yet. So now your sims actually have a reason to visit the lot and some activities they can do on the lot. Playing with the scene markers will also level up your acting skill! So upcoming actors can visit the lot to train for their next gig!
Del Sol Valley - Plumbob picture museum V2 While waiting for mod updates I openend up my CC-free build save again to try out the new platform tools. What better build style to test this on than the mid century builds in Del Sol Valley so I rebuild one of my older WIPs. The layout is pretty similar to the old one and still features all sets I put in before. I’ll add some more in the basement. This lot is still focused on providing some activites for your sims so I placed down a bunch of mannequins and set objects that you can interact with. I also added a cafe and a small cinema. The basement will include a kids area and a little behind the scenes area. I might try to squeeze in some photo shoot objects from Moschino as well.
Plumbob picture museum - more interior pictures I ran out of mannequins to place down so I had to improvise. Did I have way too much fun building the garden gnome apocalpse set? Of corse I did :D Otherwise the basement and upper floor are finished now. So only the cinema and outside area still need some details. I also revamped the entry area.
I started another build that’s totally out of my comfort zone style wise! I build a first version of this house ages ago but lost it between transfering saves and with all the build updates we got in the meantime this turned out much better than the first version anyway! The new platform tool is perfect for mid century styled homes! So I wanted something that looks clean and elegant but also a little funky and quirky. Why? Because this is my take on a house for the Curious family from Sims 2! Their original house is a little wonky but I still wanted to transport that atomic age/ googie architecture style to their reimagined home. So what do you think so far?
