I've taken a break from editing and as I sit here savouring my Chai tea I started to wonder about my socks...random I know...but once the thought was there I couldn't get it out of my head until I wrote it down...So here's todays random thought...about socks 💭 I'm a person who loves handmade, understands the value, the craftsmanship, the uniqueness and the talent that blossoms from making something yourself. I'm often met with looks of 'oh my god why is that so expensive?' The answer is in this one picture. These socks were the first pair I ever made on 3 needles, not an easy thing to learn. That was 6 years ago. I wear these at least once a week, usually in boots. They go through the hot wash, the dryer and they are still going strong. I'm wearing them right now. That is why handmade seems expensive. But when you look at the facts longevity over cheap disposable poor quality products are the way to save our planet from drowning in unrecyclable waste.
