Makima couple headcanons please and thank you
A/n: Is it bad I still find Makima slightly attractive even after everything she did in the series? It's probably bad. Thank you for requesting, I hope you enjoy!
-Needless to say, Makima is the more dominant one in the relationship. Even without being the Control Devil, both her personality and her profession have led to her developing a dominant behaviour to those she interacts with, though she does take a much softer approach when talking with you.
-Makima having such a high-ranking position at your workplace comes with many advantages. For example, if you're feeling under the weather, or if she just wants to spend the day holding you, she can arrange for the two of you to have the day off. The government's usually too afraid to question her about such things, though they'll refuse to admit it. She also loves spoiling you with all of the money she earns. If you ever try to refuse her gifts, she'll inform you that Devils don't have much use for money, and that you deserve it for being such a good pup, anyway. This usually leaves you too flustered to argue any further.
-Thanks to her powers as one of the Four Horsemen, most Devil hunting missions are a breeze for you, with her one-shotting any enemy you come across. When you ask her if it's a burden for her to do most of the work for you, she simply smiles at you and tells you that since she handles your work so efficiently, you also get off work much earlier, meaning you spend much more time with her.
-Not a night goes by where Makima isnt holding you in her arms. You're the precious human that managed to make one of the strongest Devils in existence feel love, there's no way she can let you go so easily. Sometimes you fall asleep on her lap, other times nuzzled into her chest, or occasionally her spooning you from behind. No matter what, though, head pats and stroking are pretty much a guarantee with her as she whispers into your ear about how good you did that day to help you sleep.
-While her powers as the Control Devil and every contract she has over many other Devils would usually make housework a breeze, Makima actually prefers doing chores around the house at your pace. She finds that even such mundane tasks become infinitely more enjoyable when done with the person she loves most. Just being able to see your smile as you wash the dishes or clean the floors makes her so much happier than if she had done it alone in seconds.
-Makima goes pretty much everywhere with you. She wants you to show her all of the human things she's missed out on over the years, like shopping trips, eating out at restaurant and cafes, even bad movies are entertaining to her when every cheesy joke allows her to hear your laughter, one of her favourite sounds in the world. If a human were to interrupt your date, whether they try to hit on you or rob you, she'd feel generous enough with you nearby to allow them to get away with it simply by making them kneel before you. However, if a Devil tries to attack you on one of your dates, they essentially ensure themselves one of the most painful deaths imaginable.
-If you're ever feeling sad or angry about something, Makima will gently pull you into her arms, onto her lap, and have you lay your head on her chest. Even if you're taller than her, her soft dominant personality makes it easy for you to feel small and vulnerable in her arms, yet so safe and secure at the same time.
-She'll run her hand through your hair, gently shushing your thoughts and wiping your tears away while stroking your cheek. She allows you to get all of your bad thoughts and frustrations out, and when you're done, she continues her gentle caresses while reminding you how proud she is of you for making it through each day, and for staying strong for so long, before allowing you to fall asleep right there in her arms.
-Makima is a big fan of any type of affection, both big and small. Even if it's not time to sleep, she still loves cuddling with you purely for the feeling of having you in her arms. If you handle a tough mission by yourself, she'll hug you close while praising you for how well you did. That's not to mention the kisses she gives you both before and after work, despite the fact you both work at the same place. That is, if she gives you a reason for her kisses at all. She has also occasionally pulled you into her office for kissing sessions under the pretense of paper signings or private meetings. Not that anyone would dare question Makima even if they knew, of course.
"I heard about that Devil you took down, darling. It must've been quite the challenge. Though, that's not to say I ever doubted you could handle it."
"Eheh, thank you, Makima. I guess having someone so beautiful to come back to really motivates m-mmph?!"
"Hmm? Is something wrong, puppy?"
"N-No, it's just...why did you kiss me so suddenly?"
"Do I need a reason to show my favourite pup some affection? If you do, then let's simply call it...a bonus for a job well done."
"Y-You really are the best, Makima."
"I'm glad you think so, puppy. Now, would you like some more of your bonus?"
