Me stroking my chin at the @wonderbly event listening to @papa_pukka @susiejverrill and the writer of all the wonderbly books! Discussions that are close to my heart about kids creativity and the ability to find the time to do it! Their itineraries are jam packed these days, with school, clubs, places to go, screens to watch and homework!!!! We have to fight for their space to play!!!!! Let them be and let them be get bored, it’s probably the biggest gift we can give them in this ever suffocating world and tax on creativity!!!!! Albert Einstein famously said “the true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but creativity” We and our education system should be nurturing this .... but unfortunately the system seems to value spelling and maths more! So I therefore believe it’s our job then as parents to help preserve the creativity bit! I get the sense that children, when playing, choose to tell stories about life, regardless what symbolic imagery they hold in their hands: cars or dolls or whatever. They play out scenes from real life.

Very often we make up stories about other people without verifying the facts. If we are going to make up a story in our heads, instead of thinking others are mean or stupid, why not make up a good story instead, give others (and maybe yourself) the benefit of the doubt. is it just me or does it seem like theres always a suspicicous person at the car wash place who's cleaning their car a little too much. your car isn't even dirty, whatcha cleaning there buddy?

Craving cream soda. Obviously I have the soul of someone who lived in the 50's. Maybe they always wanted a cream soda but was never allowed one. That would explain my addiction to them. Also, they're freaking delicious.
