9: tell us about a wip/idea that you're excited about!

I have had this idea brewing in my mind ever since I heard In This Moment's Big Bad Wolf, of a series of one-shots with each member of the VII crew having a complete meltdown. I even already have an idea for Aerith's (hers was the first one I thought of, honestly), that I have a barebones outline for, and hopefully I can sit and get at least her piece done soon, as a taste of things to come.

13: do you have any writing projects/goals/plans you're working on/want to work on?

One of my goals this month was to write at least ONE MerMay-centric piece for my vinrei Mer AU, and I was able to do that (please clap, lol).

Right now, I have a more mature-themed piece I've been poking at every so often of Vincent's Others (what I consider to be the manifestations of his Limit Breaks/transformations) and their own fantasies and mind wanderings while Vincent and Reilena are intimate, and also a set of one-shots titled ...it's fine, about Reeve's unspoken - and sadly, unrequited - crush on Vincent.

Also, my FFVII Casino AU, Sweet Lady Luck. It is my precious, I keep writing one-shots for it, despite all my outlines and notes, and one day I WILL start on its longfic. One day...

18: how do you want your writing to feel to your readers?

That... is a good question. I guess I want people to be able to read these and actually see the characters as people, not just video game characters. I want them to feel warm and human, not just pixels on a screen.

I want it to feel. I want to be able to have a reader lean back and really let the moment sit with them, not just flip to the next page/click "back."

And I want them to be able to feel just how much I love these characters, and hopefully they'll love them just as much - or at least respect them a little more (like Lucrecia. Who I also have ideas for, sob).

...lord, I hope that makes sense, lol

7: a coping mechanism (pick a character that uses it)

A surefire way to tell if Reilena's anxious about something is when she starts rolling her Materia pendant in her hand. The rolling motion soothes her, and gives her something to focus on while she tries to make sense of her thoughts and emotions. There have been times when she dissociates enough that one of the others in the group have had to snap her out of it, before she gets too lost in thought.

15: a word a character loves to use

Vincent tends to say "fret" instead of "worry" more often than not, though he's starting to get better about using both terms. His use of "fret" comes from his youth, when he'd sometimes overhear his parents use it while discussing Grimoire's line of work. Nowadays he'll get teased by the younger members of the group (usually Yuffie) that he's starting to sound like an old man - which is met with an exaggerated eyeroll when he replies "And? I am an 'old man,'" complete with finger quotes.

6: What’s the last line you wrote?

"I'll see you tonight, okay? Go kick some ass~"

It's from what has tentatively been titled 'people pleasin',' a piece written for the weekly prompts we have going on Floor 62. It's one of the old prompts (a random selection of bad habits) that I have told myself I'm going to finish and post despite being very late, lol.

Feel free to guess who the piece is about! I'll even give you a hint - it's not Vincent, XD

20: Do you prefer writing AUs or canon fics?

Though my writing tends to be more canon-adjacent (if I am using the term correctly), since Reilena is involved in most of them, and she is my original character.

AUs tend to be my bread and butter (I have enough of them, XD).

24: How do you choose whose POV to write in?

Wait, I choose?

Seriously though, it depends on the idea itself or the prompt given, and who feels the best for it. For example, when we got the "it was a lie" prompt, I immediately had a vision of Cid clenching his fists in fury and FELT that anger when he realized Shinra saw his lifelong dream as nothing more than dandelion fluff blowing in the wind.

Other times, like with the 'Big Bad Wolf' inspired series I have in WIP status still, the inspiration is too big for just one POV, and so one song = several pieces, with each person having their own explosive breakdown.

If we go by English class/writing POV tendencies, then I write mostly third-person, with the occasional foray into first- or second-person.

Thank you so much for the ask! I’m a bit shy so don’t mind me taking a bit to answer 🙈

Hmm! What makes me happy? 🤔

Number one: cats! They’re chaotic little fluffballs, and I love them the most.

Number two: arts and crafts! I grew up drawing and whatnot, and I’ve only recently gotten into weaving and needlework. It keeps my hands busy and my brain blank. Fun times!

Number three: books and games! Anything with a story. Recently I’ve been enjoying Chinese BL and the occasional manga ☺️

Number four: my partner! We’re very silly, and we’re always holding hands and smiling together. Plus they always support me when I’m feeling down 🥺

Number five: shipping! I have a lot of ships that occupy my brains at every opportunity and I like to think about them a lot.

Bonus: I love to sleep 😂 napping is great.
