66. you’re sick and I feel bad because I’m pretty sure i gave it to you, so I bring you some of my great grandmother’s soup and watch movies with you Makoto and Nagisa
More wintery fluff from this list!
Feel free to keep sending them in!
Makoto had just settled into his nest on the couch, inclined to zone out to Netflix and cold medicine, when there was a knock at his front door. He really didn’t want to get up, he really just wanted to stay rooted to the couch and welcome the warm, comforting arms of death. But he also knew that was a grown ass man and grown ass men answer to knocks on their front doors.
With a groan, he got up and wobbled to the door, teetering only slightly as his fever made him dizzy. Nagisa was on the front steps, wrapped up in the scarf Ran had knitted him three Christmases ago.
“Uuuuugh,” Makoto moaned. He’d meant to say ‘please come in’, but found his throat was far too sore to make words come out. He stepped aside and noticed Nagisa towing an over-large tote bag on his shoulder.
“Hey, Mako. I guess you’re not feeling any better, huh?” He sounded sheepish. Makoto just shook his head and slumped back to his couch-nest. He heard Nagisa set some things down in his kitchen before he reappeared. He was wearing the sweater he’d stolen from Makoto last year. The warm, cozy dark green one that was a good three sizes too big. It was adorable.
“I’m sorry Mako. I really thought a snowball fight would be a good idea yesterday. I didn’t think you’d get so sick.”
“It’s okay,” Makoto made his throat say dryly. “Show me?” he pointed to the bag now in Nagisa’s hands.
“I picked up all your favourite movies. And my great-grandmother’s super famous chicken and mushroom soup is heating up on the stove. We’re gonna sit here until you kick this cold, and I’m gonna make sure you get better. Okay?” Nagisa was looking at him, wide-eyed and blushing. He was adorable. So adorable. And Makoto couldn’t help but smile.
“Okay. But you get your own blanket to snuggle into. I don’t want to make you sick.” Nagisa lit up like the mini Christmas tree Makoto had stashed on a high shelf to keep away from his cats.
“Deal!” Nagisa put the first DVD into the player, queuing it up for Makoto to start watching as Nagisa ran back to the kitchen to check on the soup.
It was a clam, quiet Christmas Eve night. But it really was one of the best Makoto had ever had.
I haven’t been following whats been happening in free for so long but im just here to remind everyone that MakoNagi is an uNDERAPPRECIATED SHIP THAT DESERVED MORE CONTENT AND ATTENTION
They changed the ships and I’m not even mad.
