Ume-Kuzu-Sho-Ginger Drink
If you are in the stage of getting a cold, use this recipe:
250 ml water
1 tsp kuzu
1/2 ume plum
1 tsp fresh ginger
1 tsp natural shoyu (soy sauce)
Put one cup of water in a small pot. Turn the flame on. Meanwhile dissolve the kuzu in a small amount of cold (important!) water. Add it to the tea and keep stirring constantly until the tea thickens. It should only take a few minutes. If you do not stir you may end up with lumps. Once the liquid turns clear and starts to simmer, turn off the heat and allow to cool a little. In a cup put one pinch of umeboshi plum. and pour the warm kuzu over it. Add ginger and shoyu. Stir and drink warm.
Sit or lay down for half an hour. Your system might give you shaky knees ;)
