"Moving alone?… Don’t.
Communication and social skills matter.
This is true across the board as we are social beings. Movement is no different.
If your movement skills are developed in isolation -forget about applying them later on in a communicative environment with a partner. It can be in a martial setting or a dance setting or a play setting.
Many ‘Strong’ people when first exposed to wrestling and grappling, for example, will discover their strength cannot be applied so readily in this scenario. People who work on their reaction time alone, like sprinters, when aiming to apply it in a partner dependent settings will be equally disappointed. Standing on one leg all day long? Put a partner in there and you got… Little to show for.
These points are valid, even without going into the importance of culture in Physical CULTURE.
So, Homo Socialis, realize this: when moving - move with others.”
