This is Nyx, he/him. He is an absolute disaster. A silly gay little creature. He is composed of yearning and mischief only. He is gay (mlm) and vaguely nonbinary. A boy and not a man. Gender is a silly little costume. He can be found listening to Conan Gray and reading fanfiction.
This is Olive, they/them (slightly shorter hair than I usually draw them with but I couldn't find anything that fit quite right). They're transfem nonbinary, Black/Asian American, and the sweetest soul in existence. Peace and love on planet Earth personified.
This is Kauri (pronounced ko-ree, roll the r), he/him, a trans Maori man and eternally stressed father figure. He spends the entirety of every iteration of the story being exasperated with everyone else and wishing he could be doing anything but putting up with their bullshit. He is one bad joke away from moving into the woods and never coming back.
This is Kore (pronounced Kor), she/they, a gorgeous lovely Italian trans lesbian. She is so grumpy like a little wet cat and is in the story to be traumatised and gay. They are my scrimbly little blorbo and the love of my life. Not that I'm biased or anything.
This is Theia, she/her. She's quite shy and quiet (and British) but sweet as sunshine, and then you get to know her a little and you realise oh, hell, she has been sad since childhood. Someone introduce her to music other than Phoebe Bridgers/Boygenius.
This is Faren, they/them. The original chaos gremlin. They are Brazilian and are still learning English as a second language. They also speak sign language (I'm going to pretend that there is a universal sign language in this universe).
This is Isko, she/her. She's filipina Australian and a very tall, very buff femme lesbian. If you couldn't tell from those details alone, I love her. She is a sarcastic silly little sweetheart full of dirty jokes and laughter and gay vibes.
This is Orion, he/they. He's an orphan that has spent the majority of his life in Wales, from various foster care centers to the boarding school he eventually called home. They have a keen interest in science, particularly biology, with a great enjoyment for foraging for mushrooms to study.
This is Halley, she/her, the (supposed) main character. She grew up in New Zealand with a great interest in space and related sciences, including engineering and technology.
This is Noa, she/her. I'm still working out different hairstyle ideas for her, but she's deeply stylish and loves to play with different makeup looks and outfits. She's confident in herself and a bit snarky/mean at times.
This is Cassander, he/him, brother to Theia. Like Halley, he's deeply involved with technology and engineering sciences, though this is also due to his mother's position at the head of a large company. He's soft and sweet but sarcastic and cutting when he needs to be. Which is usually whenever Halley is around.
This is Aksel, he/him. This little silly is a gamer guy who would much rather be telling stories than coding them, but is learning to do so nonetheless. He's a lovely friend and often finds himself as a mediator or go between for others' drama.
I'm still coming up with the story I want to tell and will have more posts about that and the roles these characters will play in the future, but I wanted to make an introduction post so that people had an idea of what/who I was talking about when I did. My asks are always open for questions of any kind !
Still thinking about my magnum opus Tis the Damn Season because when am I not. Anyway I'm going to rename the characters so they can be separate from my main OCs but then I miiiight be rewriting/editing it for publishing. 😳 I love the story and at least two other people like it which has corrupted my already inflated ego
I was going to join artfight this year and I got all my character profiles sorted out and everything... but I never figured out how to upload them and it's probably too late now. I'll probably be busy with tltcfp comms anyway but I'm still disappointed.

3. How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?
Kore is definitely super guarded about her emotions most of the time. After a while, she begins to open up to Isko and eventually grows comfortable unmasking completely around her, but they remain uncomfortable with being vulnerable in front of most of the others.
6. What’s their favorite [insert anything] that they’ve never recommended to anyone before?
Kore's favourite book series are The Locked Tomb and the Percy Jackson books. They have a tendency to keep the things they're passionate about close to their chest, so before meeting the others, have not really talked about their interests in such things before.
13. When do they fake a smile? How often?
Kore wears a perpetually grumpy mask. She is much more likely to cover up a smile with a scowl than to fake a smile when she doesn't mean it.
