Shoulder-length black hair, heterochromia with his left eye being faded blue that kind of looks purple and his right eye being dark saturated purple (he looks blind in one eye even though he's not), not too tall not too short, kind of pale skin ig? (Bro is not touching those rays of light), has a kind of faded split or crack or small thin seeming opening in his left eye like below his pupil but it doesn't affect him or anything it was just genetics being funny

Likes: snacks, water, designing rooms, spicy food, food in general, seeing his beloved constructs happy, sweets

Dislikes: when human-like constructs with revealing coatings dont cover up in his base, his beloved contructs unhappy, stress

Habits: eats sweets whenever he's stressed as a replacement for coffee, petting constructs on the head, referring to the constructs he's close to as "kids", sips water when he's thinking of a really creative idea, soundless footsteps soundless actions please you are not an assassin

fun facts: wears a half face respirator mask bc he thinks the air quality sucks and rarely takes it off but he can live without it, has sharper teeth than the average human, taught some people on how to make paper cranes, always ties his hair, can remember a number up to 6 digits on first glance, has identical scars on both sides of his neck but one is longer than the other

Commandant Noir and Chrome Headcanons.

Lee and Kamui set the precedent for romantic relationships. They all start off not being able to comprehend the concept of romantic love, much less intimacy. Lee still says he can't comprehend love, despite his willingness to die for his boyfriend. But his blossoming relationship with Kamui guides Chrome and Noir.

Noir gave up on finding a partner because he feels as though he left his family to die, and his mother programmed him to believe he's unworthy of love. The idea of having a romantic relationship evaded Chrome because of his life as a Construct in an apocalyptic world.

But once they see how deeply in love Lee and Kamui are, the two of them carefully but happily approach the idea of being something more than friends. They're kind to each other. They're open, honest and sweet towards each other.

Noir and Chrome are just as much in love as Lee and Kamui. If a grump like Lee can be an incredibly sweet boyfriend, then Noir figures he can at least try to be one to Chrome.

Who confesses first? Chrome.

Who kisses first? Noir. Kisses Chrome for the first time during a battle, seeing a gravely wounded Chrome fall

Who's the most romantic? They're both equally clumsy doofs that dote on each other.

Commandant Noir and Chrome Headcanons.

"Could you please teach me?" Chrome anxiously asks Lee, wanting to learn the Art of Being a Good Boyfriend. Since Lee's such a chivalrous boyfriend towards Kamui, Chrome figures it wouldn't hurt to ask him for advice.

Lee warmly gives it, urging Chrome to simply tell Noir 'how important he is to you'. 'Let him know of the impact he has made on your life'. They've become close friends through their mutual affection for Kamui, and also through Lee not wanting to ignore Chrome.

Chrome consults with Kamui too, putting a different spin on their mentor-pupil relationship. He and Noir strive to be the very best they can be for each other, barely able to compute love but wanting to learn as much as they can.

While Lee and Kamui quickly become physically affectionate, Noir and Chrome are a little shy about it and take forever to get past hand-holding. But every gesture and word they share is luminous with love that goes beyond words.

Noir not only consults with Lee and Kamui, but also watches Nanami's love dramas.

noir is pretty much a gender-bent baal with dark brown skin, because baal's character design is really pretty.

Noir Headcanons: Interactions w/Some of the Constructs

Banji:

Banji's immediately smitten with Noir, and Noir does nothing to discourage him (until he realizes his feelings for Chrome are serious).

Banji and Noir's relationship is like the relationship between a kitten and a doting owner. Noir stops cuddling with him once he and Chrome enter a relationship, but the two remain platonic soulmates.

Banji remains devoted to Noir, even once the Commandant begins dating Chrome. Despite the hurt he feels over unrequited love, he remains an affectionate friend.

Lee

Lee and Noir bond over their mutual affection for Kamui.

Noir initially saw Lee as a cold-hearted grump, but through a series of adventures and their deepening bonds with Kamui, Noir eventually realized how wrong he was.

Noir loves to hug him.

Kamui:

Noir doesn't have many rules as Commandant. He really doesn't have any. But you'd better follow this one: Kamui is Best Boy and you'd better leave him alone.

Lee and Noir honestly feel Kamui's Tenebrion frame is a huge downgrade, in regards to appearance. Noir honestly thought Bastion was 1000x more adorable.

But no matter what form he's in, Noir gives Kamui all of the love in the world.

Lucia:

Noir is a combination of a confidant and big brother figure towards her.

He can't stand her cooking, but never admits it to anyone other than Chrome.

Sometimes Lucia and Noir sit together in silence, reflecting on the day's events and relaxing.

(Re)introducing Commandant Noir Wing, drawn by alexia from Fiverr. ♡ He still needs a lot of development, but I'd like to share more in the hopes of inspiring @asoundofdrop and @dainslief-simp to share more on their Commandants.

Noir's design was based on Baal's design from Genshin Impact. I love having male characters possess feminine beauty.

As a POC myself, I created Noir with the intention of him being African (or the equivalent of African in this world). As his design was inspired by Baal, and he was created with that ethnicity in mind, he wears a combination of Japanese and African jewelry.

More Character Headcanons:

Noir also works as a mediator, wanting to preserve peace and happiness among the members of Gray Raven, Strike Hawk and the Forsaken.

Favorite foods: Pancakes and french toast. He drowns them in syrup.

He's a very laidback, calm and friendly individual, which makes it easy for him to bond with Banji. You can find them napping together (which intrigues Nanami and infuriates the overprotective Lee).

Noir is empathetic towards those he feels are misunderstood-particularly Kamui, Asimov and Watanabe. He has an incredibly soft spot for the former and goes to great lengths to befriend Watanabe.

He eventually remembers his birth name, but only tells Chrome.

Chrome's the only one that has seen him cry. And Noir cried hard in his company too, overwhelmed by his duties as Commandant and the return of his memories.

(Re)Introducing Commandant Noir Wing: Info and Secrets.

Noir's design and fighting style were inspired by Genshin Impact's Baal. Just imagine a dark-skinned, male version of her and you have an accurate depiction of Noir.

He's constantly working with Camille and Nanami to come up with fun team events, as he loves to promote camaraderie among Strike Hawk and Gray Raven members.

Noir secretly has a crush on Chrome.

He doesn't care if he's killed in battle. If it happens, he believes he'll deserve it because of how he feels he abandoned his family.

While he adores Kamui in any form, put him around Bastion and he would be like this around the clock

(so he'd honestly would be a lot worse than banji is towards the commandant. bastion kamui would run and hide and would tell chrome all of the time. then banji would become jealous of bastion because commandant noir's always hugging HIM and)

He called Watanabe 'adorable' once and Watanabe burned holes into his skull.

He's terrified of large insects.

There is a profile for a male Commandant on Ao3 that is 20 out of 10 phenomenal. Kazushin14's Commandant's profile is so insanely detailed, he almost feels like a canon character with perfectly fleshed out lore.

So, inspired by Kazushin14, I'm going to develop my male Commandant more. And I will start by sharing this commission of him, drawn by nianfuwa on Fiverr.

His name is Noir Wing, but his birth name was lost with the death of his family. His memories of the event are blurry, buried underneath clouds of pain and grief, but he remembers bits and pieces of the day everything changed.

His father cried out his birth name before being slaughtered by the Corrupted, desperately reaching out to a son that was running away from a burning home, a sea of blood and the smell of burning flesh.

His mother, father and little brother were all killed by Corrupted, right in front of him. He ran before the Corrupted could kill him, leaving them behind as they called out to him for help-including the little brother that idolized him.

Shortly after escaping, he was knocked unconscious-and did not wake for several days. When he awakened, he was inconsolable, weeping himself raw-but he had no memories of his former self. The kind-hearted man that found him, Mercury Wing, vowed to look after him and provided him with several things: a new name, a new home, and a new chance at life.
