So, I finally saw Maleficent 2...

...and omg guys, I have soooooo much to say about this newest edition y'all just don't know - from the story itself, to the characters, to their actions, the events, all of it!

So who in the fandom/community (and I mean Maleficent as a whole, not just pairings such as Malora or Malvial when I use the terms) wants to talk about this? Because this NEEDS to be talked about.

And future posts I make about Maleficent 2 will be tagged properly (#spoliers) to take into account people who may not have seen it yet. I'll probably be tagging those posts like that until the end of this year, give or take, we'll see, but just a heads up.

appearing here to say that i don't give up on y'all.

i swear, i wanted to produce content, maleval fanarts, maleficent fanarts, diaval fanarts, sam riley fanarts...

but nothing helps my burnout and art block, so the only way i have to get through this is to rest and wait.

ngl, sometimes i feel kind of selfish for being such a careless fan who can't do anything for the fandom at that moment.

i believed that if i forced myself, maybe i could draw something, but the opposite happened.

still wanting to produce content of maleval, because it was and literally still is, my source of comfort.

i'm just taking a rest, and waiting things to get better. please don't give up on me <3

Dearest Maleficent/Malora Fandom: 

Most of you know that I had taken a break from Tumblr and from posting on FF.net, and you may remember that the dry spell of my posting fan fic began with harassment from FF username Princess Luna Alicorn (link) and Tumblr user @princesslunaofthemoonlight​. The harassment and inbox messages/reviews loaded with cursing, death threats, etc. began when my readers and I reported her for plagiarism.  All of her private messages to me were reported to FF.net staff, who in their mighty intelligence, thought it best to block me from responding to her PMs and reviewing her stories, but not to block her from sending me PMs, or reviewing my stories. Sure, they took down her stories that included plagiarized material from my fics, but I was mind blown at the other tactic. Not once did I receive a message from FF.net staff in response to my reports - not a single one. They just suspended her for a bit.

Now that her account has been reinstated for some time, I am again receiving harassment from her account and a duplicate account called TheAnonymousandMysterious (link.) The death threat laden PMs can be seen in the screenshots above to have the same title, and I assure you that they have the same body of text within because I can see the truncated messages from Princess Luna Alicorn’s account in my Yahoo Mail notifications.

Frankly, I’ve been quiet in my postings over here for more than one reason, but this is a huge one. Rest assured that I am still writing for the fandom, but these messages are downright scary, brutal, and psychotic.

If I knew where this kid lived and her name, you bet your sweet bippies that I’d be calling the police, ASAP. As it is, I’m afraid that she’s going to attend a book event and stab me in the eye or something nuts. She’s accusing -me- of plagiarism now, and for what I’m not quite sure... because my fic shares the title with another book that was written after my fic was begun? Because they’re both about the Fae, but totally different characters and topics? Goodness knows, the mythology surrounding the Fae isn’t copyrighted, and many, many authors use it. Hell, there’s a movie starring Angelina Jolie called Changeling, and it’s about a missing kid. Tolkien was inspired by Shakespeare, as was Rowling. Whatever.

My point is, this is awful. Nobody deserves this kind of treatment, and I’m still unsure if I’m going to update my stories on FF.net any longer. If I don’t choose to do that, I’ll be sure to post it here and on AO3. I could really use some love and support in battling against this kind of hatred. Some NICE PMs would be cherished, instead of receiving this drab over, and over again... and I quote:

They're not even as good as Jane Austen's books! They're never good enough. Your books are not as good as the Lord of the Rings series. I am watching you from your bedroom window every night when you go to bed. You think that you are perfect, but tonight, your internet connection will forever shut down! Your computers and laptops will break down! Your account will be reported. I am a member of critics united. Your stories are god-awful! Because of that, all of your followers will hate you! They will know that you plagiarize Shakespeare, KR Wilburn, and countless other authors that wrote about the fey folk and about lesbianism! Tonight, when you sleep, I will break into the house and murder your whole family! I'll burn your whole house down! There is nothing you can do to make me spare you and your family! May your parents, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and uncles all die from heart attacks tonight! May all your youngest relatives become so ill that they will die! Dishonor will be upon you, your home, your whole family, and all of your friends! There will be blatant hatred towards you from now on! You will be ugly. Your hair will all fall out. You will grow ugly facial hair. Your eyes will fall out, and so will your teeth. Bugs will crawl and multiply inside your stomach and spread throughout your body, eating your insides and poisoning your organs! You shall suffer! You are a terrible writer! People will no longer care about your overrated and creepy stories. Your stories will be taken down tonight! Your account will be deleted!”

Another sad day in the Malora fandom

Glitteringassemblage has deactivated her blog.

I woke today to a fan mail notification on my phone that began: “Hey Coco, my life has been just so busy lately..." When I went to open it, there was no message, nor is there record of any message in my In Box -- likely from the blog being deactivated. 

I know that I will miss her dearly, and while I am unsure as to why she would delete her blog because life got busy, I’m sure there was a lot more reasoning in that message that I wasn’t able to read. I’ll especially miss her live blogging Sleeping Beauty while she watched, and her sweet, understanding heart.
