So another fun part of coming out non-binary is that I work in a group home that requires all male staff. My work is very important to me and I am the best at what I do by a decent margin. I also know the guys I work with well enough that all new employees train under me regardless of what shift they're going to be working. I haven't quite worked there for two years yet.
There is a risk that if I come out to my employers that I'll be moved or lose my job or something of the like. It's especially risky because said employers took about a year and a half to talk to me about me letting them know that I'm autistic and when they eventually did they did so in panic mode.
Plus they're a Catholic non-profit, and they have a good history of being understanding about things and treating people as people. /sarcasm
I haven't come out as of the time I'm posting this, but hopefully I'll either move to a position or employer that I'd feel safer doing so.
