Yknow when people say that transgenderism isn't a mental illness, all it proves is that they have a misunderstanding of what a mental illness is.

A mental illness causes some level of unnecessary stress in your life

A mental illness does NOT always mean that you need to be hospitalized because of your misery and suicidal thoughts

Gender dysphoria causes some level of unnecessary anxiety/depression/disconnection from yourself in your life

Gender dysphoria does NOT always absolutely destroy your life and tear you apart from the inside out

A mental illness just means your brain has some mildly irrational wiring

A mental illness does NOT make you an awful freak who can never be normal

Gender dysphoria is the result of your brain being irrationally wired

It is NOT a schizophrenic fantasy

To conclude, being transgender is a mental illness, but that isn't a BAD thing.
