“Daddy!”

“Mmhm.” Tadashi made a sound of acknowledgement, though it was questionable whether he actually heard what was said. He was busying himself with blueprints for an improved communicator for his mask with a longer range.

“Daaadddyyyy! Watch cartoons with me! I wanna watch Steven Universe!” The child pulled on his arm to try and drag him out of his chair. Of course that failed, but it was a valiant effort.

Tadashi set his pencil down. “Alright, alright,” He chuckled, finally pulling himself from his work. “I’ll watch Steven Universe with you.”

Safe and Sound

He awakes with a yell, jolting into an upright position in his place on the couch where he’d fallen asleep. It's the farthest thing from his mind right then if his noise had woke anyone up. He doesn’t care. He’s not thinking about it. He’s thinking about how he’s drenched in sweat, how he can’t stop trembling, how he feels like he can’t breathe. There’s no room in his mind for something he finds so trivial in comparison to the panic he’s feeling.

Tadashi manages to pull himself to his feet, though it’s hard to find the strength to. His scars throb and his chest aches. Flickers of flame dance in his vision and logical as he is he should know better than to believe they’re real, but logic is lost to him. He moves himself quickly towards the bedroom. He could wait for Kieran to come to him, but he doesn’t want to wait. He is terrified.

He pushes himself through the doorway and falls onto the bed, pushing in as close as he possibly can. He doesn’t care that his sweat is soaking the sheets, or that there are tears streaming down his face. All he cares about are the arms wrapping around him, the gentle kisses being placed to his temple, and soothing words being whispered into his ear.

He never even answered the text. He just grabbed his helmet and hopped on his moped. Told Aunt Cass that he was going out. Drove at a speed far faster than was entirely illegal.

Kieran hadn’t even asked him to come over, but Tadashi was far too worried about him not to. He did a very sloppy job of parking his moped when he got there, but he honestly could not care less. Something was wrong, and he needed to fix it.

He probably should not have been pressing the doorbell repeatedly, but he was so worried. He really couldn’t help it. He couldn’t really help what he did when Kieran answered the door either.

Probably not the most polite greeting, but as soon as soon as his face came into view Tadashi pulled him close, wrapping both arms firmly around him as he crashed his lips into Kieran’s. This kiss was rough, and passionate, and Tadashi had every intention of leaving him breathless, to make him forget everything even for just a moment.

He knew a kiss wouldn’t fix everything. Kisses weren’t magic, after all. But a kiss did have the potential to make problems seem like there were gone for a brief second, and right now that worked for him.

Drunken kiss

It was a special occasion. That was why Tadashi was in nothing but a swimsuit, soaking wet, in a hotel hallway, practically falling over Kieran. Some school competition that required an overnight stay in a hotel. For what? Who knew. He was far too drunk to remember anything other than the fact that they had won, which coincidentally, was why he was drunk in the first place.

He had previously been in the hot tub with a few classmates, only parting because they told him that he should go find Kieran and show him his ‘magnificent pectorals’, whatever that meant. So now here he was in the hall, dripping all over Kieran.

“Mmm not that drunk!” He slurred. “I can walk on mm own!” Clearly a lie. He had apparently forgotten in his drunken state that he was the one to lean on Kieran first.

At least it made for a very nice close proximity. Perfect kissing distance, he found, as he became very preoccupied with staring at Kieran’s lips. “Mm want to kiss you...” He drunkenly mumbled before actually doing so. Right on the lips of course. It was sloppy, and probably not all the great, but damn he was trying.

After a recent hospital trip, my muse is feeling a little loopy from painkillers and has become quite chatty. Send “TMI” for my muse saying something about yours that is a little too personal!
