☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon: Maliech likes many things and tries to keep positive and happy. His favourite things include small animals, books, tea, nice weather, cosy clothes, and nice friends.On the other hand mal dislikes large crowds, being pressured to talk, anyone who is cruel to animals, and any kind of animal meat.
▼ - childhood headcanon: Mal was born much bigger than the average sylvari, and was strong right from birth. His physique and strenght made the other saplings shy away from him and he ended up a bit lonely as a result. Mal took basic weapons and combat training and ended up hurting his fellow saplings in the process on more than one occasion; this of course only furthering their avoidance of him. Poor Mal wasn’t good with words and didn’t know how to say sorry for what he did; he never meant to hurt anyone, he simply didn’t know his own strenght. Mal shyed away in fear of hurting others again, and kept on doing so for most of his life. He has poor social skills, and years of not talking to others has left him with difficuilties speaking. He stutters a lot and jumbles up words, which is so embarrasing to him he keeps quiet instead.
♒ - cooking/food headcanon: Mal is a vegetarian. He spends his days taking care of animals and critters and eating meat just seems wrong to him. He doesn’t however consider dairy or eggs cruel, and as such his dietary habits aren’t all that different from his friends. He cooks most of his food by himself, and as discovered by Taerryn when she befriended him, is actually an apt cook.His favourite foods are mushroom curry stew, rosemary baked potatoes, and cinnamon rolls.
ൠ - random headcanon: Mal really hates violence. His early life experiences made him scared of himself and his strength, and he touches his friends like they are glass sculptures, because he is so scared of hurting them. His many bottled up emotions make him quick to anger, and when he does find an outlet for his aggresions he really takes it out in gory fashion. Of course he feels bad afterwards.Mal especially hates the Nightmare Court, for their cruel ways of torturing both dreamers and animals. Mal rehabilitates their fernhounds whenever possible, and despite the wounds he sustains in the process he feels it all worth it in the end.
◉ - “Any other question of your choosing”, appearance headcanon: Mal is my tallest character, standing at a massive 7'3’ tall, or just above 220 cm. He weighs close to 300 pounds, most of which is muscle, but some of which is fat.(or the sylvari eqivalent of fat and muscle, whatever) He essentialy has the body of a lumberjack, only without the hair.Less menacing however is his pastel pink bark, and baby blue foliage. His “horns” get broken a lot, but always grow back out. Mal is covered in scars, which vary in colour from darker pink, gold, and white. They dont bother him in the least, and considers them medals for the good deeds he has done.
