In the beginning there were three things: the earth, the moon, and the sun, and from these things came all others. The meeting of their bodies brought forth life in many forms, and these were the gods. The gods were many and of great size, as large as fifty men, but they bore the traits of creatures that were not men, of animals, plants and elements. The gods used their power to create things that resembled them. And this was the age of gods. Then one day, Phometriel, the smallest and weakest of the gods, chose to make something that would truly resemble it. And so Phometriel shaped the form of human, and gave them the smallest fragment of its soul. But the even that was too powerful for the human, and their form broke apart into many pieces. Fearing that a second attempt would end in greater tragedy, Phometriel left humanity as it was. When the other gods heard what Phometriel had created, they were jealous and angry. They killed Phometriel and sought to destroy humanity. It was then that the humans and gods entered into a great battle. Though the gods had ultimate power, the humans discovered a great sun-secret from before the dawn of time, and used it to craft terrible and impossible weapons. With these weapons, the humans destroyed the physical forms of the gods, leaving great marks upon the earth. And this was the age of battle. With the gods defeated, the humans began to spread across the lands ands seas, settling in many places. Often at the centre of these groups were those who had shown exceptional courage in the war. And many of these would go on to perform incredible feats of courage, kindness, power or wisdom. Their names have long since been celebrated, and it is this we call the age of heroes. As these heroes became more and more renowned, many were given positions of leadership. Though every one would use their manifest power in different ways, the heroes grew into rulers, and thus began the age of queens. It is this age that we are still in, though there are signs that it is about to come to an end. What ages lie in the future? The age of wizards? Of revolution? Of the people? Who can say?
