The day is not a great big fish, though Polly wishes it was. Her boots slip and squelch through the mud as the rain batters down. It blurs her vision so she can’t see the enemy soldiers that she knows are surrounding them.
It turns out that once the enemy knows that you have a vampire in your squad, they get very very good at disguising themselves..
