i think maladict could be butch in a despotic boyking way. polly i can’t see identifying with any label like that though since her relationship with her gender is really nebulous and hard to explain even to herself

in a small plot line for a fic i’ll likely never finish (unless 👀) in which polly and maladict are with the watch for plot reasons i do think it would be funny if maladict has like a very obvious one sided rebound crush on angua without knowing about carrot

and angua just sort of tolerates it and is trying to figure out how to break it to him she already has a boyfriend and already has this thing with this other dykey vampire anyway

polly sees it too as like wow maladict is going out of his way to be really chatty and crack jokes to angua + maladict used to do this with me when we first met= ???? does not compute. she’s just patiently sort of waiting for this to blow over and has no personal feelings outside of how her friend feels (lying)

angua doesn’t even need to break it to him because they run into carrot and mal’s like uh hmmm. ok. polly’s like well sorry that angua wasn’t interested that’s rough he’s like well i couldn’t just break captain carrots heart like that lol and she’s like okay mal :)
