The Inag Coffee Farmers Association Inc. (ICFAI) had a year-end General Assembly (GA) last December 20, 2022, at Barangay Lower Mainit, #Malungon #Sarangani Province. The GA discussed about the current status of the association, its 2022 accomplishments and the government agencies' assistance to ICFAI. The partner agencies such as OPAg, OMAg and DAR SarGen also presented their updates and related programs that are beneficial to the members and the coffee industry in general. The Sarangani Coffee Industry Development Council (SCIDC) through Inag Coffee Farmers Association Inc., in partnership with LGU Malungon conducted the 1st #KapeMalungon on November 17, 2022, at Sunken Arena, Malungon, Sarangani Province. #Coffeefarmers and stakeholders participated the said event to highlight the importance of the sector and encouraged them to produce quality #coffee beans. The event also presented the #Malungon coffee mentors who will cascade what they have learned from their Training of Trainers (TOT) activity. USAID Safe Water facilitated the TOT activities of both Eastern and Western #Sarangani #Watershed areas. Q Robusta Grader Arnel Cadeliña was the resource speaker of the event. GenSan Coffee Association members had also coffee brewing and appreciation sessions with the participants. OMAg Malungon gave UV plastic to 6 coffee farmers associations in the municipality. Shandy Lacna was one of the 34 cultural learners of the School of Living Tradition (SLT) in Malungon, Sarangani Province. The cultural learners were taught on Blaan traditional music and its musical instruments. In this photo, she was eight years old. Lacna can do chanting and play fuglung. She learned it from her grandmother Heminia Lacna (on the background).
