Update
I know I haven't posted diddly as far as writing projects or dnd for a long time now, sorry 'bout that. The reasons for this impromptu hiatus are many. The main ones being:
1. I have been busy with life happening to me and have gotten sick in the last day or two.
2. I've kinda gone creatively dead of late, I haven't been able to progress with ANY of my works, even the ones I'm most passionate about and none of my friends want to or even have the capacity to help.
3. My usual dnd group has been scattered and scarce in attendance and they really don't feel like they want to play anymore (playing mtg instead which is fine). This leaves me with my secondary group, of which I am a player and not a dm. The second group also plays 5e and I'm still unfamiliar with their house rules and whatnot so writing about that would be boring and clunkalicious.
I'll try to get some more content out to ya soon. If anyone has an interest in collaborating or just giving me a bit of feedback or tips to get my spark back, my inbox is open.
In the meantime, have this: (its still being edited, not so proud of the wording of the ending.)
Adrian and Solene: Ascension
In classical human folklore, two divine beings exist---; The chaotic yet just God of liberty and patron God of soldiers and paladins, known as Adrian, and his sister, Solene, Goddess of temperance and kindness and matron Goddess of priests and clerics. Once mortals who lived through the blood hunts, twins, Adrian a soldier, and Solene a Priestess. Adrian was part of a task force involved in the counter attacks and Solene as the healer for that group. During one of their assaults, they were confronted by Goughr and his demons. The rest of the unit was quickly discharged, leaving Adrian and Solene alone in a churchyard. Adrian ordered Solene to hide in the church and stood against the incoming tide of fiends. Though he felled half a dozen in his rage, he was struck by Goughr, leaving him with a mortal wound. Solene, her weeping eyes burning with anger, then revealed herself and, after enduring a crippling strike, branded goughr with the mark of Eyrd, a brand he still carries today. Stricken with grief over his sisters wound, Adrian rose with his last ounce of strength and struck goughr from behind with a seal of (banishment), forcing him to retreat. Exhausted and bleeding, the siblings then fell. embraced in each other's arms, the dim flame of life flickering out.
