okay. so. in case y'all couldn't tell from my blog I might be a little obsessed with Check Please! I knew I wanted a Check Please username, and I had a different one for awhile. But, I'm a mom. I like being a mom. I also love Shitty Knight. He's my favorite. I strive to be a bit like him. He's flawed but full of love, yanno? I also think he'd make a fantastic mom. So... mamashitty it is. Not too deep lol.

my favorite color is orange but I also really like purple. I bounce back and forth between them but orange usually wins.

Last song I listened to: Fifteen (Taylor's Version) by Taylor Swift. my son has turned me into a swiftie. I have no shame.

Last movie watched: Barbie & Chelea: The Lost Birthday, a new Barbie flick on netflix? Of course we had to watch it.

Currently Reading: Nation by Sir Terry Pratchett. I have also fallen in love with reading newsletters in the morning and evening. Some of my favorites are: Anne Helen Petersen's Culture Study, Why Is This Interesting, Vox's Sentences. I'm always on the lookout for more suggestions, so lemme know if you have any favorite newsletters!

Currently Watching: Critical Role season 2 (I will never catch up) and tours of peoples van/bus conversions. I kind of have this fic idea percolating in the back of my mind of Check Please characters living on a skoolie. So. Research?

Currently Craving: Waffles. Nomnomnom. Oh, and donuts.

Currently working on: Project Stoned (a novella idea), organizing the house, a prompt, and transferring things over to campfire blaze for worldbuilding purposes.

Currently playing: I'm in such a video game slump. Does the RingFit count? I've been doing that at least three times a week. I really enjoy, actually. Even with my kids commentary. "Mama, you need to do this different. Mama, why are you tired? Mama, mama, mama." Backseat gaming/working out, it starts young. :P

💜 coffee vs tea

Yay! Thanks again for the ask!

Tea when I need something warm to drink on a cold day in the winter or any day that I am feeling particularly chilled. I’m not a big fan of warm/hot drinks. Tea is really the only one that I enjoy. But I need to be in a certain mood for tea.

The idea of tea makes me very happy.

Coffee? As long as that sucker is cold and doesn’t taste too much like coffee. Give me some flavored creamer and I’m all up on it. Especially if it is in a cold brew or iced form. Cold brew has become my weakness and my go to. I love brewing my own cold brew. Incredibly easy, and just... its nice having a stock in the fridge when I need it.

So... hot tea. cold coffee. All of which makes me happy.

mama shitty fail

I didn’t read a single fanfic for October. Which, honestly, makes me feel weird and more than a little sad. So, no monthly fic rec from me this month. BUT MAYBE Y’ALL CAN HELP ME! Send me some fic recs for me to check out when I desperately need a writing break from NaNoWriMo this year! And, I’ll be reblogging all the other month’s worth of fic recs I’ve done this year. 

The monthly fic recs is honestly one of my favorite things I do, so I’m a little disappointed with myself but also proud I’ve managed to do it for as long as I could, and so fingers crossed I rec some more next month! :D 

So... rec me some: 

Check Please: Zimbits and Shardo are my favorite ships but I’ll read any ship, really.

Schitt’s Creek: Of course, I need my Patrick and David. But, Moira and Johnny fics??? Stevie and Alexis??? SEND ME ALL THE SHIPS AND FICS.

Hannibal: I miss Hannibal. All the fics.

Those are really the big three I’m itching for. But I am also a big fan of: The Old Guard; The Witcher; Red, White, and Royal Blue; Star Wars; and like fuck J.K. Rowling but love to all the Harry Potter fic writers.
