Today, I gave my girl her new quilt! It’s made of scrap fabric from everything I made for her when she was a tiny little beebee: window valance, burp cloths, appliqué onesies, lampshade, pajamas - you name it, it’s in this quilt! I spent the better part of the last 3 weeks putting this together, and although it was simple, it also gave me some creative struggles. There’s a whole lotta L💜VE in this one, and I’m so glad she loved the quilt, too! She calls it her “new Mommy bee.” 😍 • • • #mamasews #quilt #happysunday #newblanket
Current project: Ellie Jo’s new “mommy bee.” 💛 She calls her blankets “bees,” and this one is made up of scraps of fabric of all the various things I made her when she was a tiny baby: window valance, burp cloths, diaper wipes case covers, etc. (See the next couple pics of the valance and burp cloths!) She ended up seeing it today, as I took her with me to my friend, Erin’s house to work on it. She has since thanked me 3 times, hugged me twice, and it’s not even done yet!
