A New You? As you journey through your recovery, I pray that while dealing with your demons that you look to your higher power to comfort you and remind you that you are so worth it! I said no to a couple of things you wanted... I am on this journey too, but my goal and role is to allow you the opportunity to grow. You threatened to walk away from your recovery... as you said" what am I doing this for, if nothing is going to change...". I am not sure what the expectations are from me... from recovery... but I pray that you do this for you, and nothing else but your beautiful life. Don't quit!!

People will fail you...

He's safe, 11 nights. Deep issues of resentment that originates from a broken family. Reading my letter to him, with him facing me was one of the hardest things I have ever done. He was so cold... I am not going to judge his feelings. I just want him to know how much I love him. I pray that while he has this gift, opportunity of recovery, that there is a breakthrough! Addiction, it's a fatal disease, it starts in the mind. Break free, son. Figure out what makes you "use", figure out that life is worth it! Forgive those who have hurt you. People will fail you... But God won't. I continue to pray for you, for your freedom. Love mom

He called, crying... It's hard to hear my son hurting. In just a few minutes, my fear, he's giving up so soon. He's old enough to make the decision to leave. I don't know what it's like, don't know if it's him or them. I pray for him to endure, to allow the healing to begin. I pray for me to be strong, to give him the words of encouragement. The guidance he needs. I pray for the discernment to move him, if that's what is best.
