I know, it takes too much time but I'm really thinking about it!

For one thing, I have a funny idea about Coming Up's Plastic Macs drum. It may be a joke, which grew out of 'strip off your plastic macs' in Mamunia and John's words about Wings: 'Wings is almost as conceptual a group as Plastic Ono Band.'

Paul McCartney Burnishes Stoner Bonafides with Remastered “Mamunia” Video

- Wings track re-released in runup to Band on the Run 50th-anniversary edition

Anyone who didn’t know Paul McCartney spent the 1970s baked out of his mind need only to see the restored “Mamunia” video for a reminder that the Cute Beatle had really good pot on board.

Out to tease the Feb. 2 arrival of McCartney & Wings’ Band on the Run 50th-anniversary edition, the hippy-dippy-trippy video follows the so-called underdubbed mix of the title track. And it’s even more stoned than the audio, with animation that mixes equal parts Monty Python and Wall-era Pink Floyd - guess where their inspiration came from? - to create a bong-smoke-hazy scenes of smiling suns, ornery rain clouds and people who are cool with whatever happens, maaaaan.

Here’s hoping viewers feel the same as the restoration is, frankly, pretty weak, leaving the video looking very much its age.
