Well her name is Tomo (aka meme [pronounced meh-meh] aka mori) and she’s my GDA ( gay dessert anime - a group of people who make dessert gijinka and draw/rp them interacting ) oc in the Feudal Japan AU !! ( she’s a memento mori cocktail gijinka @mementomorisan )
So Memento Mori kind of has an identity issue, not knowing how to act, so she kind of split into several persona - Meme and Mori being the most prominent of the many personalities she has. Meme is quiet by nature but friendly and sort of absent minded. Mori is flirtatious and mature, polite and gentlemanly. Tomo is the persona that i developed for her specifically for AUs - who’s hasty, blunt and prideful. also easily embarrassed.
Memento Mori means “Remember Mortality” or “Remember that Thou Art Mortal” which is ironic, because in the war-struck feudal au, The thought of dying never really crossed Tomo’s mind, despite her constantly getting wounded, fatally even, because of her impatience and hastiness in battle.
In the Feudal AU, Tomo’s seemingly loving parents abandoned her at a very young age during the harsh times of war. She was forced to learn to survive on her own, often times being spared because of her young age. Over time, Tomo developed her own style of fighting using the blade she found off a fallen warrior. Though sloppy and unpredictable, her style was efficient and fluent. Though Tomo had loved her parents, she felt as if all their love was a facade, or wasted effort. This lead to Tomo being hesitant to grow closer to others. However, after being brought in by a kindhearted girl named Rolly, Tomo began to open up once more, albeit unknowingly. They parted, but by happenstance, met once again upon Tomo being brought under the wing of a Clan Leader, Haru (aka Shin) who she was eager to learn from, but was not accepted as an apprentice. She followed the clan leader and sort of developed a bond like family with him. Tomo didn’t realize she had constructed a bond with a whole new family - the Ice Clan, with Rolly, Haru and V and the other members of the clan. By swearing loyalty to this clan, Tomo gained the ability to manipulate water - almost like magic. Much like other beginning clan members, it took much training to get accustomed to the use of this new ability, but because Tomo’s view of her self was foggy and unrealized, it was hard to control this ability, so she seldom used it.
