i headcannon that polites was a frontline fighter because the rest of the greeks thought if anyone could withstand it it was him, so now, after seeing most if not all of the other men change because of the horrors of war, he try’s to stay almost the exact same as he was before out of fear of becoming as cold and mean as the other men while being terrified that because of it, his own kindness might not be genuine all the time and he could just be putting on a show to appear kind.

hi, so i’m reading the pjo/hoo series with my mom (i read the books and she listens to the audio book with me at breakfast) and she’s pretty homophobic, we’re in the beginning of house of hades and i’m really really nervous to continue with her because i know nico comes out in that series, please help, what do i do?
