He catches her off guard, earning a gasp when he removes them from the crowds in the street to steal just one moment of intimacy. There’s no hesitation when he leans in and she barely manages his name when he kisses her, hard at first though she’s not protesting. It’s when his hand cups her cheek that she leans into him, she wants more and he smiles against her lips - he must know it.

But he breaks away and she looks up at him, catching her breath and refusing to acknowledge the flush across her cheeks. She doesn’t like to admit these are some of her favorite moments, she definitely won’t tell him that, but she doesn’t need to. 

And as he turns to return them to their path she reaches for his arm, “Done already?”

( hhhhnn :eyes: ) 11. Imagine there is a beast that craves attention. If you ignore it, despite being deadly, it will leave you alone. Could you live like that? Even if it possibly attacked others? Would you try and challenge something that unknown?

Verdandir set down her cup of tea and leaned back, eyeing the woman across from her as she posed the question. A long white nail tapped the table as she tried to frame an answer that would not give herself away unduly to her table-mate. What a question to ask… She inwardly sighed.

 “Well. The beast craves attention, does it not? But you do not specify what sort of attention it desires.” Leaning forward she helped herself to a cube of sugar and set it neatly into her cup. She caught her companion’s eye, her lips curving into a smile. “Could I walk away, knowing it would leave me be, yet there was a chance it would seek out and vent its frustration on others who might misunderstand its loneliness and attack in kind?” Her long tail swayed behind her as she spoke, curling in time with her thoughts.

The cube of sugar dissolved into the amber liquid as she picked up and swirled the cup gently in her hand. “Consider how I reworded your question there. No, I would not be able to live with myself in that situation because that is how I view it. Naturally, I would meet the ‘challenge’, as you put it, of meeting the attention of this ‘deadly beast’… because who knows what sort of ‘beast’ it is.” Her eyes twinkled with mirth over the rim of her cup as she sipped it. “For is not man a beast as well? No one should be left like that, first off, and one should not willingly put one’s fellows into harms way if they are able to prevent it. I consider it a… hmm… ‘win’ either way. From my perspective, at least.”

Yvaine thinks Lua is very pretty, and she would totally go on a friendly date with her. As a fellow FC member, Yvaine considers her a friend and trusts her, and she definitely cares about her. She wouldn’t sleep with her though, because she’s married! She would definitely like to get to know Lua better. There’s something about her that seems sad that makes Yvaine want to sing a song for her to comfort her. 

She also still needs to figure out the mystery of the strange laughing voice Khit’li supposedly heard in Lua’s room. Maybe if she weren’t so elusive and always seems to be flying away whenever Yvaine happens to spot her out in the world...
