Parquet Courts, Gorilla, Manchester Described somewhere as 'agitated art-punk' - I'm not even sure what that really is. Similar in style at times to Pavement, but they have a fast-slow-fast approach and stop when you least expect them to. A super-tight band you can dance to, swapping vocal duties regularly and those guitars sure were loud, just how I like it. Crowd surfers aplenty by the end (see fella in photo) including a young teenager who I imagine will never forget that show.
