Despite his name, Mandas is actually not the one who spelled the end of Kivouack. He did, however have radical views. He agreed with Methusa, but after her death accepted that defying Locket was impossible. Mandas has the ability to manipulate his body for about a minute after being decapitated, making him undesirable by most. He rescued Adrastea from a chop shop while she was still a fowler for a hefty fee. He showed her the world and became like a father figure to her. However, during the time she was asleep and maturing, Mandas got into a particularly bad fight while drunk and accidentally spilled his allegiance with Methusa's worldviews, provoking a crowd who took him to Winifred, who humiliated and eventually killed him. When Adrastea awoke, she was overcome by grief at the passing of her mentor. Then came rage. She took on the name of Mandas and gathered Methusa's scattered followers. She slowly gained Locket's trust and set to work dismantling the carefully crafted Kivouack that Locket strived to maintain. Mandas went and punished as many of Locket's followers as possible, and made Winifred's punishment especially humiliating for what she did to the original Mandas. That's right, Adrastea becomes Mandas!
